My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and felt taken care of from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The food and cocktails, service, and ambiance were all top notch! The owner/manager, Eduardo, stopped by our table and made sure we were comfortable - what a nice touch. Alejandra, our server, was very knowledgable and helped us navigate the menu. We would recommend Maiella for a fancy date night or a family outing. Wonderful experience through and through!

The planning process has not been the smoothest. At times there was a lack of communication. The final details such as guest count, guests allergies, table setup, etc. were not communicated to the front of the restaurant. When we were setting up we realized there were not enough seats for the guests.
The food and service were excellent, but the proportion of the dishes was inconsistent.
For example, for appetizers, some ordered grilled shrimp while others ordered a salad. The grill shrimp portion only had a total of 4 shrimps while the people that ordered salads had a giant mountain of salad on their plates.
Another thing that bothered me was that we had 2 different flavored cakes so guests can choose which one they wanted.
I assumed guests would be asked which flavor they preferred since the waiters were already coming around to ask about tea or coffee for dessert, but instead when it came to dessert time the cakes were served randomly.
So one end of the table got 1 flavor and the opposite end of the table got the other. I would've preferred that guests got to choose.
Overall, all of our guests had a great time and enjoyed the drinks and food. -

(January 24, 2022, 2:56 pm)Best Pasta in LIC and had my Engagement dinner here. Made it a special night, last minute (I called them maybe 2 days notice!!). It felt so professionally done despite my rush. Amazing staff and amazing food!

All dishes we ordered were fresh, portioned properly, and most importantly...delicious. My personal favorites were the shrimp appetizer and the dish I ordered, chicken alla marsala. The thin layer of crisp, the flavors, and moistness of the chicken were phenomenal. I will definitely be back for more. Great date night if you're looking for something with a romantic feel. Service was great, very attentive.
