  The entire experience was great. Christy has A wonderful midwifery philosophy and practice. I felt me, my baby and my family were taken care of physically (medically) and emotionally throughout the prenatal care, birth and post natal care. She supported our birth plan and made sure that the baby and me were safe and healthy through out. She has a passion for midwifery and is a true professional with the experience and education/certifications/licensing to provide a safe and nurturing pregnancy and birth care. I would highly recommend Magnolia Midwifery for those considering midwifery care and home birth.

  It’s ridiculous we can only give Christy five stars—if you are looking to feel held, supported, and powerful during your pregnancy and your baby’s transition earthside and beyond, look no further. My partner and I (and our entire extended families) can’t sing Christy’s praises enough. Choosing to have a homebirth with Magnolia Midwifery was the best decision we could have made for our first baby. This care was about so much more than birth location—sitting with Christy during prenatal appointments, I feel like she really got to know me and pushed me to know myself better. I felt better prepared to be a parent and to trust myself because of the care and encouragement Christy gave me. Her expertise and calm, competent presence also convinced even our most homebirth-skeptical family members that we were making a good, evidence-based decision in having our baby at home under her care. Our family’s birth story was amazing and surprising and filled with so much joy and love, but the best part by FAR was our postpartum care with Christy. Within a couple hours after my husband caught our baby with support and words of encouragement from Christy, Christy and Angie (the incredible second midwife Christy partnered with for our birth) had fully cleaned our house, tucked us in, and my mom and sister were bringing me French toast and eggs for breakfast. I got to stay in bed for the next week, with Christy coming by to sit on my bed and take care of me and baby, and my husband and I will never forget the blissed-out cocoon of love Christy helped us create. Throughout my pregnancy and postpartum journey, Christy held space, asked the perfect questions, and provided nudges and gentle encouragement for me to grow into the kind of mother I’ve always hoped I could be. I’m currently in school to be a nurse-midwife, and the care Christy provided to me and my family is my North Star for the care I hope to learn how to provide for others. We’ve already told Christy that with our next baby, she’s going to be the first call once we get a positive pregnancy test—we’ll want to make sure we have our care locked in with Magnolia Midwifery as soon as possible. We love you Christy!!!!!

  The greatest compliment I can give Christy is to say I wish I had gotten the chance to work with her sooner. Christy and I began our journey together as I navigated the pregnancy and subsequent birth of my third child. She showed me the incredible beauty of a midwifery model done right. She gave me all the time I needed, truly consulted with me on every matter, and lovingly involved my husband and children in the process, allowing them to experience their own rites of passage in this pregnancy and birth journey.
  
  Christy was always responsive, prepared, and truly present. Her preparedness and knowledge gave me such confidence as I embarked upon a homebirth.
  
  Christy’s tender and thorough care in the postpartum period has also proven truly unique and incredible for me and my family. Three months out now from my beautiful vbac homebirth, I can truly say that the recovery process has been the best (of the three) in large part due to Christy’s care, guidance, and the convenience of home visits.
  
  I look forward to continuing to work with Christy now in terms of wholistic well-woman care.

  Christy is one of the most amazing and caring healthcare providers that my family has ever experienced. From the thorough and thoughtful prenatal care, to our 30-plus hour labor and delivery, to tender and loving postpartum visits. Christy spent time with us during each visit and never once made things feel rushed. During our 30 hour homebirth she was present the entire time to make our family feel safe and held. Her expertise in all things midwifery gave us confidence in her and ourselves that we could safely deliver at home. Her compassion gave us trust and faith in her guidance. She is a calm, loving, and knowledgable provider and we would trust her with any subsequent pregnancies and deliveries. In addition to Christy's expertise and care, we were fortunate to work with her colleague/assistant, Angie. Who brought a sense of calm and patience to our birth experience. We are so grateful that we found Christy, having her energy, expertise and guidance provided us with everything we needed during the most precious moment of our lives. We would highly, highly recommend Christy for all expecting families, including first time families, like us. We love Christy!

  Christy was absolutely amazing, my husband & I would recommend her a million times over!! She was so helpful throughout pregnancy, helped empower us & supported all of our decisions, and always had resources to share. Through birth she held such a calm, grounding energy. I felt so confident having her on my birth team & hope to have her again for future babies!
