(August 24, 2023, 8:53 pm)Our tour guide was awesome, very knowledgeable and the cave is really cool to see. Only eight steps down and the rest is flat. If you walk with a cane you can still do the cave. I would definitely recommend this adventure.

(July 24, 2023, 5:57 pm)A wonderful activity to do with the kids, or even without! The tour was a perfect length with plenty of cool rocks and pins for people of all ages. The best part was talking stones and rocks with the employees in their gift shop. So much patience to help a 7 and 9 year old find their perfect rock.

(July 16, 2023, 2:18 am)We had a wonderful day exploring List River Caverns and spent a great time together as a family while learning about the natural world.
The cavern is family-friendly and even little kids have an opportunity to get into speleology and learn about rocks and formations. The tour did not take too long and was interesting, informative, and fun. Our guide Adam was knowledgeable and walked us through the history of the cavern and its geology. We all were amazed by the demonstration of the minerals’ fluorescence.
Some tips before you step in: make sure everyone is dressed in warm layers and comfortable shoes with good traction. You may also want to bring a flashlight or headlamp with you.
For parents with kids:
There is a snack stand inside a souvenir shop but I recommend bringing food with you and having a nice break after your tour at Morris J. Dimmick Park nearby. The playground there is wonderful.
