From the moment I contacted the office, I felt welcome and heard. I immediately felt like the team wanted to see me feel better and succeed. I was in such a dark and deep depression for so long, and I had tried what felt like everything to get better. Eileen took her time to explain everything to me and educate me about TMS. The office environment is lovely and clean and all of the staff are kind and helpful. Elizabeth, the technician I worked the most with, was amazing. She would talk to me through treatment to help keep me distracted, and she would always make me laugh, even when I didn't think I could. They have all cheered me along the way, helping me to see my progress. They always made me feel like they truly cared about me and my well-being. I can't possibly thank them enough. I feel like im finding happiness for the first time in a long time and I'm forever grateful!

Dr Pitch is the most caring and friendly Dr I’ve ever met in all my years. The staff is as professional and caring as they come. This was not an easy step to take but they make you feel like family and truly care about their patients. If TMS is an option for you I would only go here. There won’t be anyone who does it better.

Depression is a miserable way to deal with life on a daily basis. When the meds don’t seem to do the trick ,TMS therapy is a sensible addition to treatment that has helped me in the battle. Dr Pitch and the entire office staff are my saviors. I truly love them all and they made the whole procedure worthwhile.

For more than thirty years I have suffered from depression that has been labeled as “acute” “chronic” and “drug-resistant.” Over the years I have taken dozens of medications in an endless array of types, strengths, and combinations. I have been hospitalized in a psychiatric facility. I have undergone ECT procedures (informally “shock treatments.”) and I have spent hundreds of hours with psychiatrists and therapists. In the spring of 2021, my provider suggested I try TMS (trans-cranial magnetic stimulation) under the supervision of Dr. Pitch. Last summer I began an intensive regime. This summer I have graduated to one treatment a month. While I still take medication and go to therapy, I am certain, that the TMS treatment by Dr. Pitch and his team is the only reason I now find life relatively peaceful and have been able to leave the darkness of what now seems like a past life.

The science of TMS is not something I am qualified to discuss. The team at Dr. Pitch’s office is, however, something I am qualified to discuss. Having been treated by many professionals in different settings over the years I can say that mental health treatment ranges from sterile professionals to highly sympathetic but often ineffective practitioners. Dr. Pitch’s team has all the best elements. Dr. Pitch, himself, is pleasant and knowledgeable and you feel immediately that you are under competent and thorough care. Eileen, the psychiatric nurse who oversaw my treatment, takes a deep and sincere interest in the well-being of her patients. She is knowledgeable, inquisitive, and has the capacity for great empathy without being distracted from the work at hand. I am seen by two technicians, Danielle, and Elizabeth. Danielle is a professional who clearly is a skilled technician and will happily carry on a conversation or let you receive your treatment quietly, whichever is appropriate that day. Elizabeth has a completely different and refreshing approach. She is first, of course, a competent technician. More importantly, Elizabeth, with the patient’s approval, brings a much livelier and fierier aura to the session. On the days you just don’t want to be in the chair, she will make the time pass with her genuinely sweet but sometimes feisty demeanor. That said, she is a professional and can and will be subtle as the circumstances dictate. Finally, Margaret and her crew in the front office have always been happy to iron out any scheduling or billing issues that have arisen.

My experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Please take this to heart: it is not just the treatment that helps, it is also the environment in which you receive the treatment. This team has it together. There is no way to know if TMS will work for you but if you are going to try it, try it here!

The hardest part of treatment was getting Insurance to cover it. Be persistent and proactive, though, and they will. The staff was great with helping us with this piece, especially because we did not fit the usual parameters. It is a big time commitment, so plan for it. The treatment was a huge success for my daughter. The staff were great with scheduling and helping her feel comfortable and just were always a pleasure to deal with, from the front desk to the technician to the psychiatric staff. Thank you!
