  Effective, insightful, compassionate! I know Lisa Lempel-Sander to be a warm, engaging and highly effective clinician. She is deeply perceptive with the ability to tune into another's experience and works collaboratively to give a voice to what has not been previously explored or has been difficult to express. She works organically and gently allows the therapy to unfold in a way that feels both safe and inspiring. I’d recommend her for both individual therapy and marriage counseling.

  For as long as I have known her, Lisa Lempel-Sander has always been an exemplary clinician. She is sensitive, warm, kind, approachable, and genuinely cares about people. I feel that her clinical skills are top notch and would not hesitate to refer others to her, knowing they will be in excellent hands. She is truly a great colleague and an icon of the therapeutic community!

  I have known Lisa for many years both as a teaching and supervising clinician at the Suffolk Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, where we are jointly on faculty as well as on the Executive Board. She thinks with clarity and sensitivity on a theoretical as well as clinical level. Her opinions have always struck me by their acuity and logic, and her careful and thorough understanding and insight into patient needs has been most helpful. I highly recommend Lisa as one of the most capable clinicians I have ever had the privilege of knowing.

  I have experienced working with Lisa both as my psychoanalytic teacher and analytic writing coach, and as someone to whom I have referred patients for psychotherapy. I have found her to be a responsive, sensitive and compassionate clinician with a dedicated ability to see and feel her patients and students. Excellent supervisor and teacher. Highly recommend Lisa for both supervision and psychoanalysis.

  I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience working with Lisa Lempel-Sander in group clinical supervision, in analytic writing supervision and in her class on analytic understanding and technique. She is very warm and supportive, has an excellent grasp of clinical issues and theory and communicates in a clear and direct manner. I highly recommend her as a supervisor and instructor. Based on my work with her, I would highly recommend her as a therapist as well.
