(September 6, 2023, 7:53 am)Great food! I am a fish taco snob. My sister loves lobster rolls Liv's way, hot and bathing in butter. We headed down to try Livs Shack on Labor Day! It was amazing! Students had returned to college, so they were admittedly understaffed. This was their last day of the season, and they gave you a fair warning that there would be a wait. You expected that they wouldn't be at the top of their game. You would be incorrect. This food was amazing! These Mahi Mahi fish tacos are fantastic. The lobster roll was perfection. Can't wait to visit in 2024! Job well done!

(August 4, 2023, 6:23 pm)This is such a cute lil spot in old saybrook near the water. The outdoor seating offers fun board games. The lobster roll was 10/10 the only thing missing was a lemon on the side. The truffle parm fries were an 11/10. The lemonade was also an 11/10. Such a nice summer spot for lunch or early dinner! Free parking is offered. This place is alittle pricey for 3 people our bill was over $100. A lobster roll is almost $30. Definitely recommend the lobster roll though! Will be back again soon!

(July 23, 2023, 4:04 pm)Order the fried fish sandwich. Came with lettuce, tomato, and other fixings. I also ordered some fries. Sadly, I found the fish in my sandwich barely had much flavor to it. I would like return here cause the place seems to have a great vibe to it. Menu also has a lot of variety and great options. Has some nice outdoor seating as well and umbrellas to save you from the sun. Staff was friendly and helpful. Next time I will have to pick another item.

(June 27, 2023, 8:58 pm)Lobster roll was very good. The bun was toasted and buttery, and the lobster was basically just lobster. I might have wanted it to be tossed in more butter, but that is probably more a me problem than a then problem.
Oh my goodness, the cheese curds. Ended up getting a second serving. Clam chowder was so rich and luxuriously creamy. Yum.
The fries weren't anything special. Chicken tenders for kids overcooked. Hot dog was great.
Very cute ambiance with outdoor picnic tables and lawn games for kids.

Lobster rolls were amazing and so was the view! 2 lobster rolls, 1 side of slaw, 1 order of fries and 2 soft drinks = $100! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!! Liv's shack is my new favorite place. Its the cutest little restaurant on the CT shoreline and has a great menu of options.
