Dr. Murphy was highly recommended to us when our son was 2 months old and we were dealing with oral ties and torticollis. We were very comfortable with her right away and appreciated that she came to our home, especially since we were first time parents with such a young baby. Dr. Murphy assessed our son and explained thoroughly why it was going to be important to be consistent and what we were going to need to do to get us where we needed to be. She showed us exercises and stretches and made sure we knew what to do between sessions to work toward addressing his tightness and achieving important milestones. I highly recommend Dr. Murphy - our son is doing so well now!
I couldn't recommend Dr. Murphy enough. I contacted her after my 2-month Ped appointment where my daughter had a slight flat spot on her left side and struggled looking to the one side. Dr. Murphy was so responsive and was very easy to get a hold of. She is also an in-home PT, which was something I was looking for. I really loved that Dr. Murphy can show me what to work on with the toys/equipment I already had. After just a few sessions, I noticed a huge improvement with my daughter. The exercises and stretching work that Dr. Murphy had me work on really helped my daughter excel. With this being my first child, I really felt having a PT has set my daughter up for success. Our pediatrician even noted how advanced my daughter was and the difference she noticed after a few sessions with Dr. Murphy.
We were referred to Lisa by my lactation consultant after difficulty nursing on one side. The LC did an oral examination and thought our daughter likely had torticollis. We started seeing Lisa around one month old. Our insurance was difficult, but she helped me navigate that as well. I was very anxious as a first time mom and she was so wonderful and re-assuring. She was always available by text and email to answer any questions I had. She also was so kind hearted as a person when I myself was having issues postpartum. She gave us home exercises and a program to continue once I went back to work and home visits were difficult to schedule. We no longer need to go to PT, but she checks in periodically and we even received a Christmas card from her! I would recommend her over and over again. We love Ms. Lisa!
Dr. Murphy worked with our infant son after his tongue tie release. She was very knowledgeable about different stretches and exercises. She is also a great teacher because she would leave detailed notes and provide hands on instructions for performing the exercises in her absence. I also loved the convenience of having home visits, rather than having to travel with an infant to an office. Highly recommend.
We worked with Dr. Murphy ever since our baby was one month old and could not be more happier and grateful for her help and expertise! Our baby was born with a tongue/lip tie and had torticollis and as first time parents we had no idea what to do. We were referred to Dr. Murphy and from the first visit, we felt so, so comfortable with her and knew we made the right choice. She not only would evaluate our daughter's progression, but also show us stretches to do at home and other activities we can do with her to make it more fun and also help her progression. By the time our daughter was 6 months old, her torticollis had resolved all due to Dr. Murphy's help. We honestly could not be more grateful and feel lucky enough to have come into contact with her as we learned so much from the sessions with her and the knowledge she gave us that will help us in the future with our daughter. Although our daughter is doing much better now, we still love to keep in contact with Dr. Murphy and schedule monthly sessions to make sure we are still going in the right direction and she always takes time out to answer any questions or concerns we may have. As parents, we would highly recommend Dr. Murphy - not only for her expertise, but also her kindheartedness, friendliness, and just her way of sharing her knowledge with her patient's families. We never knew before we had our baby that babies/little kids can benefit so extensively from PT and how helpful it is in their development - the differences and changes/progress we saw with our own after just a few sessions was so incredible and now to see her achieving milestone after milestone is so heartwarming. We will always be grateful for what Dr. Murphy has taught us and what she's done for our daughter!
