  I started seeing Linda Beers when I was 5 years old. I could barely read, and yet she taught me all the basics of music including technique, rhythm, and pitch flawlessly using the Suzuki method as well as her own ideas. Her patience and kindness inspired me to love music like she clearly does. Even though my musical goals did not align with hers, she never stopped encouraging me to reach my dreams of becoming a fiddle player. Now, at 17, I am a recorded musician, and I plan to continue being involved in music in college. I feel like I am able to be involved in music in lots of different ways because Ms Beers taught me to learn by ear as well as sight reading, two very valuable life skills. I want to give other kids the skills and inspiration that Ms Beers gave to me, so I am honored to be working with her and her orchestra students for my senior project. I am indebted to her for giving me the gift of music, a joy which will last a lifetime.

  It has been three years since my eldest daughter learned the violin from Linda. She is a professional violinist and a passionate educator with a focus on the Suzuki Method. She always motivates and supports her students to work hard. Also, she is a great communicator. Even if my child isn't very good at expressing herself about what's wrong, Linda first gives her a variety of options to help her move in the right direction. Based on good experiences with her, my second daughter will also take her violin lesson starting this fall semester. I expect my daughters to have wonderful violin journey following Linda's lessons.

  Linda is a fabulous teacher as well as violinist. My son really likes her lessons because she always cheers him up. I've never seen a violin teacher as patient and meticulous as she is. I like how she focuses on making good sounds. I believe we will be with her for a long time.

  Linda Beers is a professional musician and educator. She plays violin in the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, she teaches music in the Simsbury school system and she gives private violin lessons. Her students range from young beginners through high school age award winners to retired adults such as me.
  I envy her younger students with their nimble minds and fingers. Luckily for me, Linda possesses an abundance of kindness and patience in addition to her musical and teaching ability.

  My two boys have been working with Linda for almost 10 years and in those years, she's been outstanding. She is always kind and accurate in her teaching, she truly has a gift for teaching. She communicates with me very well and will go out of her way to help my boys. With her musicianship and excellent teaching skills, she is a wonderful teacher! I recommend her to anyone who wants to take violin lessons.
