Between lactation appointments and Milk Bar meetings, I was able to have a successful and positive breastfeeding experience with my son. Even the Facebook community through the Milk Bar meetings has been beneficial. Any question or concern I had was almost immediately answered. I'm looking forward to working with everyone again as I begin my breastfeeding journey with baby number two!

(December 19, 2022, 3:00 pm)I can’t recommend the in-person Milk Bar breastfeeding group enough! Being able to have a weighted feed is so helpful and reassuring that nursing is going well, and Ronee is great at answering any questions that come up! Meeting, chatting with, and getting support from other breastfeeding parents at all different points on their feeding journey is just the icing on the cake. Plus, it’s free! I intend to attend for as long as I’m breastfeeding my daughter.

(August 25, 2022, 4:00 pm)I saw Sarah Van Zandt at the trexlertown office and she was amazing! She taught me so many helpful tips that I can’t believe the hospital lactation consultant didn’t tell me. She was very relaxed and down to earth which made it easy to open up to her and ask all the questions I was embarrassed to ask. She made sure to keep reminding me I was doing a great job which was very appreciated! Plus she didn’t even bat an eye when my son peed all over her scale lol. Definitely recommend!!

The first weeks of my breastfeeding journey were rough; by the time I found the Breastfeeding Center I was in extreme pain, demoralized, and beaten down mentally and physically. Other lactation consultants and even my own OB hadn’t been able to help. But Molly and Dr. Boateng were like guardian angels. They validated my pain and problems - thrush, vasospasm, and a bad latch - and set about helping me fix them. They took their time and made me feel like I was the only person on the schedule for the day. I left my first appointment feeling genuinely optimistic for the first time in weeks. Dr. Boateng said she truly believed we would be able to make it work, and she was RIGHT. As I write this, my two-month-old daughter is happily and painlessly nursing. I’m even starting to build a freezer stash! If you’re anywhere in the region and struggling with breastfeeding, run, don’t walk, to the Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Center.

(November 3, 2021, 11:01 am)I work with them on my breastfeeding journey and they are so informative and helpful. I have never worked with doctors that want to educate a person as much as they do. Even during the appointment they will research information with you so that you are the most equipped to have a successful breastfeeding experience. Plus they provide so many notes from the visit so that you don’t have to worry about forgetting important information. I would highly recommend them.
