  After searching high and low in the area for surgeons who could help, no one made me feel as comfortable as the LRVSS team made me feel. They are honest, humble, KIND, professional, and they care about your pet and YOU (this is what is really important to me, because finding someone you trust is hard, especially when you’re facing major surgeries.) They give you all the info you need to make a decision that’s best for you and your pet, walk your through each step, and are there for you in recovery, checking in and helping you and your pet feel comfortable!! And the results speak for themselves!!!
  
  Freya our lab mix, ~60lbs ( just ~3 yrs old at times of surgeries) needed FHO surgery on both hips for severe dysplasia and arthritis. Since her surgeries, Freya’s is back to herself, her quality of life improved and protected so she can thrive and do the things she loves without that terrible pain.
  
  Other things worth mentioning:
  
  You get to talk to Dr. Zeltzman directly before and after surgery.
  
  Freya’s scars are practically invisible, and her primary care vet was so impressed with how clean the stitching was, and how well she healed.
  
  The team signs your discharge folder with well wishes for your pet and gives them a certificate! So cute 🥰
  
  We got to keep some impressive bone fragments that were removed from the surgery (it’s neat if your into that :) )

  Dr. Zeltzman and his staff are amazing, He got my Akita in for X rays right away after having a noticeable limp for a few weeks which was then diagnosed as osteosarcoma. The level of knowledge, care and professionalism from Dr. Zeltzman was second to none… even after my dogs procedure the follow ups by him and his staff were welcoming. I would HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking for care/surgeries for your doggies!

  Our Golden Retriever (Ellie Mae)needed TPLO for both legs. We followed the Doctors schedule for what, when and how much to have Ellie do. We are now completed with the second nine week process and Ellie Mae is 100% herself. In fact we are still limiting her as she builds up because she wants to be her crazy self. Wonderful surgical team.

  I was referred to Dr Zeltzman by Oliver’s (my Boston Terrier) Primary Vet, Dr Sandy from Alpha Vet and I am grateful!
  Oliver was suffering from respiratory issues due to an elongated soft palette and also his small nares on his nose. Oliver is 4 years old.
  My first contact with Dr Zeltzman’s Surgical Office was with Kat who took a great deal of time to talk with me and answer all my questions regarding OLIVERs pre-surgery. She is so knowledgeable and when you speak with her you can tell that she has an understanding of the concern you have for your fur baby.
  You want someone like Kat on the other end of the phone to talk with you because she cares about your pet!
  Now, on to Dr Zeltzman, never meeting him of course I was a bit apprehensive because once again this is my baby that is getting surgery.
  Well, after talking with Dr on the phone pre surgery and then meeting him face to face the day of the surgery I had NO DOUBT that this was the surgeon I wanted for Oliver!
  Dr Zeltzman will tell you how to take care of your pet after surgery and if you follow the post surgical requirements for your pet to mend you will have a happy pet.
  He repaired OLIVER’s elongated soft palette, removed saccules and also opened his nares a bit more for better breathing,
  Oliver had his cone on for 3 weeks and yesterday it was removed. He is doing great!
  Dr Zeltzman is the best surgeon and I would recommend him to all of Oliver’s Boston Terrier friends who have the same issues with their breathing due to the structure of their head and short snout!
  Soon Oliver will be zooming around the yard playing with his toys!! He loves running after his ball!
  Last but not least, Dr Zeltzman’s nurse was fabulous and also SO caring with Oliver.
  Trust me you can tell how genuine people are in the medical field with pets or humans!
  Dr Zeltzman is the real deal!
  Thank you Dr for being the best surgeon and if Oliver ever needs anything else done I will be calling for you!

  I will end by saying I don’t normally do reviews BUT for Oliver and anyone out there that wants a great, caring surgeon, Dr Zeltzman is your guy!

  Dr Zeltzman has performed 7 surgeries on our pets over the last 15 years. Total 5 TPLO surgeries on 3 dogs, 1 case of Bloat and 1 removal of the TPLO hardware. Every single time we were given all the information we could ask for. We were able to speak to Dr Z, before and after each surgery. His staff goes above and beyond, to make sure we knew what to expect. The follow up after surgery is unprecedented. His concern for our pets was evident in every phone call. I wouldn't trust our dogs to anyone else!
