  If you want a quiet place, this is for you. Beautiful B&B in beautiful surroundings. It was very quiet. We were staying there while visiting my sister who lives nearby, so we weren't there much. It is mostly visited by people who are fishing. We hardly saw any people, which was not bad, just unusual. Everything was clean and nice. The whole area is beautiful. We didn't get to partake in the breakfast, but it looked good. Note that it's a continental breakfast, so it's not eggs and bacon, etc. I believe they had home made coffee cake and they did have hard boiled free range eggs from chickens on the property. I would definitely stay again.

  Really lovely stay here. We are not fly fishermen/women but thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful view and serene setting. Three sisters had a very comfortable stay here before picking up a teenager from summer camp nearby. Sal gave us great tips on where to do some errands and local dining. He also went above and beyond to help us out with an issue with our car...in the heat of a very hot summer late afternoon. The lodge is impeccably clean. Breakfast was a treat! Coffee was stellar, and Erin's flowers are stunning! Nice people!

  Awesome service, Beautiful rooms. Owner was very friendly. The view of the river in early morning is absolutely beautiful.

  A lifelong fly fisherman I only discovered Legends this past spring. I just returned from a fall visit. What a gem! I fished from sunrise to sunset my first visit and was amazed by the varied opportunities to fish for and catch fish. I was fortunate enough to fish with Sal for 3 of the evenings I was there and his knowledge of the water and hatches only added to my enjoyment. Words can’t describe the fishing so I’ll speak about the lodge itself. You may be tempted to spend much of your time either in your guest room, common area or the outdoor decks and be perfectly content. The atmosphere reminds me of some of the finest lodges I’ve visited out west. The rooms are luxuriously appointed, comfortable and spacious. Again rivaling some of the finer hotels and on par with any Relais and Chateux property I have visited. A spacious tackle/changing room right off the deck offers easy access to and from the river which is literally only steps away. Toiling continuously and most often in her garden ( resembling more a small farm) when not overseeing breakfast, chickens, rabbits and the overall operation is Erin. Driven by a sense of urgency she and Sal cater to their guests needs often before guests ask. You may be motivated to fish your entire stay which is understandable. I urge you to return again to enjoy the rest of what the lodge, Sal and Erin have to offer as well.

  My wife and I have fallen in love with Legends. The accommodations are beautiful and sit along the banks of the Farmington River. Sal, the owner, was extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about the area (including the local trout population). Make sure to try the breakfast cake, it was delicious. Legends is one of a kind and we will be sure to return!
