LaPora is an amazing speaker and career coach! I immediately reached out to her after seeing that she does programs for libraries. LaPora has the perfect combination of expertise, positive energy, and empathy that is key to empowering people to become more confident in themselves and their abilities. LaPora encourages people to stay true to themselves in their careers and imparts useful strategies and tips that are easy to follow. Participants leave her presentations feeling motivated, refreshed, validated, and empowered!
I recently booked LaPora for two career-focused library programs that were extremely well-received by participants. LaPora structures her presentations perfectly - she gets participants involved from the start and incorporates thought-provoking activities throughout the presentation. Her unique experience as a military spouse allows for unique advice for those who change jobs often.
The first program was a virtual resume-improvement program (Revive Your Resume!) and it was fantastic! LaPora encouraged audience participation from the beginning and answered every question that the participants asked.
The second program was geared towards job seekers/career changers (The Advantages of Rejection in Careers). This was another amazing program that was structured perfectly with introspective activities. Participants learned that rejection in careers can also provide an opportunity for growth!

My daughters and I read her book, Bottom of the Food Chain. My girls loved the interaction the book provided. Even at I young age, we are teaching the girls that what they have to offer the world is valuable. The book definitely promotes self worth not only in the workplace, but life.
LaPora is an incredible coach and speaker who has inspired and motivated me to go after my goals and my dreams. She has the experience, the knowledge, and the compassion to help so many women like myself who are trying to overcome their fears in the pursuit of their dreams. I am so grateful to have worked with her, seen her in action, and to follow along as she inspires and helps so many people like myself. I am so lucky to have worked with her and recommend her as a coach!
My first encounter with LaPora was during a webinar hosted by Monmouth County Workforce Development in January 2022, where she was the presenter. I scheduled some to have a one-on-one chat with her a short while later. Our conversation yielded several good points relative to my transition efforts. While I did not engage LaPora to work directly with me, she offered me some helpful feedback that would improve my resume` and she has continued to provide supportive direction and coaching.
I reached out to LaPora for some 1-1 coaching as I started up a new business. LaPora is a fantastic listener and is really empathetic. I felt heard by her, and suddenly the things I struggled with started to feel more manageable. I was able to see my challenge in a different light and come up with a solution that worked for me. She was a great guide in this process. If you are working through challenges in your career or a difficult transition, I would highly recommend you reach out to LaPora.
