  I recently moved out after living here for two years. Overall I would recommend this location.
  
  Pros
  - rent payment, document storage, maintenance requests, etc are all done through an app that works well. You can also schedule the timing of maintenance appointments which I really appreciate.
  - the superintendents who perform the maintenance requests and other on-site management were excellent. Really pleasant to talk to and were prompt to fix issues.
  - location is close to New Haven, the various highways, both train stations and also walking distance to hiking trails at East Rock park. Also great local shops and incredible pub across the street.
  - The property management group that runs the property is easily the most responsive I have ever interacted with. Whenever I had an issue, they reached out promptly.
  
  Cons
  - parking can occasionally be limited. I’d say in my two years here, there were 10 or so times I was unable to get a parking spot. Still, at least they have free parking. For a fee you can get a spot in their garage. Limited availability though.
  
  Pro tip:
  - the pub across the street is excellent.
  - the wine shop across the street does monthly wine bags, 6 bottles for $50 and you get an email w info about each.

  Highly recommended. The maintenance staff is very attentive and helpful. Never had any issues.

  Overall I had a really good experience at lakewood. The place was clean, maintenance was fast, and management was nice. The only thing that really stood out as an issue was that the water of the entire building would get shut off each month for some reason, and often at inconvenient times.

  I have been living at Lakewood for 1 year and have been so impressed by the comfort of the apartment, the responsiveness and quality work of the maintenance staff, and the friendliness of the fellow residents! Other things that I love about living here are the location, the incredible view out onto Lake Whitney, the impressive insulation (my apartment is so quiet and I hardly have to use heating/cooling!), and the "extra touches"--such as the holiday decorations--that the staff add to make the apartments truly feel like home! Couldn't be happier or recommend the place any higher. Huge thanks to all of those who make the Lakewood an awesome place to live.

  UPDATE: It has now been 3.5 years and I'll be moving out in order to live closer to my family. My experience here has been great from start to finish. I'm so grateful for everything the staff does here to make it feel like home. They have done LOTS of updates since I've been here as well, including a really nice update to the exterior, a new parking lot, and a new gym with great equipment and nice windows/lighting. The other tenants are very friendly--this is a great community. I will miss it!
