(May 17, 2023, 7:40 pm)I use to go to this place years ago a few week back I ordered two Steven segel sandwiches there were excellent. Today may 17 th we order the same and the bread was soft maybe old. I call the order in a head of time . Last time they put the sandwich in The pizza oven and the bread was out of this world crispy and tasty . . Very disappointed not consistent.

(May 17, 2023, 5:27 pm)We were famished after a hike so we pulled into the first decently reviewed place we came to, and almost turned back around when we saw the outside, but I'm so glad we didn't! This place is in a strip mall and the menu posted in the window was small and kind of random, but since we were starving we went in anyway. The inside was totally different than what I expected. This is a cute little family owned place with just a few tables, very causal, but also very clean and welcoming. Exactly what you'd hope for in an authentic Italian mom and pop stop.
Turns out menu outside was just the specials, the full menu is HUGE! They have everything from upscale pasta dishes to sandwiches. I think even the biggest or pickiest groups would find something worth loving here. I was overwhelmed by all the choices, but our server was incredibly helpful. She made several great suggestions, and told us details about preparation and serving sizes. We ended up ordering a rice ball and a series sandwich (like a chicken parm but in a lighter sauce), both of which were massive and even with two people we barely finished them. Both items were delicious, the bread seemed fresh, all warm and crusty, while the rice ball was perfectly seasoned and flavorful.
I can't imagine another time we'll be lost and hungry in this part of the world, but I pinned this little gem of a restaurant on my map, so that if I'm passing through again I will remember to stop here! -

(May 20, 2022, 7:32 pm)Great little pizza place. 🍕 There are a million pizza places in nnj, so. It hard to be a cut above. The pizza here is excellent. The crust is just the right thickness for my taste and tastes great. la Forchetta has one of the better pies in the area. My son and I ate in and the service was excellent, better then most places in the area. I would recommend giving it a shot. If pizza is not you thing, they have a crazy big menu. All the table around us were enjoying thier meals..
