(April 20, 2023, 11:13 am)Got a chicken pincho/skewer and a pork pincho/skewer, and the lobster empanada after reading other reviews. $15 total. The sauce on the pinchos was awesome. Kind of like bbq sauce. Empanada was pretty good.
The man taking orders was very friendly. I felt bad because they were so busy but the wait for two skewers and an empanada shouldn’t have been an hour at 3pm on a Sunday. I was disappointed the wait was so long when my husband got food from another food truck in less than ten minutes.
Response to owner: Thank you so much for your response. I did notice that you squeezed our order in eventually and appreciate that. The food was incredibly fresh and hot when we received it. We will be back. -

(September 9, 2022, 2:48 pm)Definitely the best Puerto Rican food in town. The food is always fresh and made to order. Their lobster empanadas are amazing and not greasy at all. The steak pinchos (kabobs) are soo tender and delicious. The white rice with beans
and pork chops, definitely a dish to try. Better than any local restaurant I've tried. Worth every penny! Chickymunchy's crew is always professional and their cleanliness is top tier. My favorite spot! -

(August 18, 2022, 11:03 pm)Every spring and summer I look forward to visiting La Chickymunchy food truck for the best authentic Puerto Rican food in New Haven. Food is delicious and made to order. The line can be long so I make it a point to visit right when they open and never have any issues.
Eddie and Jenny take pride in the quality of their food and cleanliness of their truck.
I’ve been going every summer for the past four years.
