(March 25, 2023, 8:22 pm)We went to Kiwanis Ice Arena for the first time today for a Try Hockey For Free event. It was an awesome experience from start to finish. We pre-registered, so check-in was smooth. A coach helped gear up my son from head to toe then ensured that everything was well fit or taped so it wasn't loose. All of the staff and even the parents were helpful and supportive. This was my son's first experience with both ice skating and hockey. He was able to skate without assistance after a few minutes of using a plastic skate helper. Each time he fell he was able to get back up and received guidance along the way from coaches and seasoned players. Having had such a good experience today, he cannot wait to go back! Looking forward to signing up for Jr. Rangers Learn To Play in the winter!
