  Bought my first plane, a Dynam Albatros Diii, from Killer Planes. I wanted the Super Max crash proofing kit with foam prep, so delivery took a little longer. Well worth it! The kit was super easy to install and the customer service is just fantastic. First, the videos on their web site are great. I really enjoy Steve and Denise's sense of humor and it's great to see the potential purchase actually in flight with a well detailed description. Then, Steve answered my initial questions with a few throw-ins like an extra battery (Dynam promotion?), correct connections (with directions) for the extra battery i did order, and a near-scale pilot. I really appreciate the extra attention. Almost Ready to Fly was really almost ready to fly. I could have been in the air in just a couple of hours for assembly and set up except I had this hankering to fix Dynam's paint scheme. After-purchase support has been great and Steve and Denise have answered all my questions, plus some. My next plane will (WILL!) be from them. Thanks Killer Planes!

  Well, We are home safely after having spent 3 wonderful days at the 2013 NEAT Fair. The best part was coming home with the same number of flyable aircraft as we arrived with.
  I have been an RC flyer for over 20 years. Age has deteriorated my flying skills to the point I was going to give up flying. Then I heard about Killer Planes from my son Ron and the trainer called the "Hawksky". This unique airplane was touted to be crash proof so I ordered it and had the crash proofing installed by Killer Planes. When it arrived and I started to assemble it, I had some difficulty understanding the assembly instructions. When I emailed Killer planes about the problem I received a response within 24 hours along with an attached video showing how to assemble that portion of the Hawksky. Prompt and Professional !!!!!! My kind of people.
  The proof of the crash proofing came while my Grandson was test flying the Hawksky and I asked him to loop it. When he did, the canopy came loose and shortly thereafter the battery fell out, (my fault, I didn't have it secured properly) and the airplane went into a spiral. It hit the ground nose first. And guess what!!!!! Just a few scratches. We didn't find the canopy but I suspected the magnets were weak. It took about 45 minutes to make a new canopy (and secure it with a velcro strap) and make the battery secure and the Hawksky was ready for flight.
  Since I have flown the Hawksky I have recovered most of my flying skills and I am a happy senior citizen.

  I met Steve and The Lovely Denise at the NEAT Fair in 2012 where I bought my first "crashed proof" plane. After flying like it like I stole it (crashing it several times, replacing 4 props and motor on it) I decided I needed another one and it has become one of my favorite planes. At the 2013 NEAT Fair, I bought 2 more planes from them.
  
  Just as the others have stated, what Steve does to the planes works. It will extend the life of the plane and keep you out flying out longer.
  
  Steve and The Lovely Denise are very friendly, helpful and provide great service. Steve's only fault is he can get to talking a little too much about planes and forgets he has work to do (which is when the Lovely Denise reminds him to get back to work).

  My humble opinion.
  
  I think Killer Planes puts together a product that does exactly what it's meant to do-- protect the investment you're making. The crashproofing does exactly what it's meant to do as well...keep little mistakes from becoming costly ones.
  
  I have bought planes from several distributors in several brands. Honestly, you get what you pay for. Sure, shipping is less expensive, the planes are less expensive, but in the end you pay twice as much in replacement parts, shipping, modifications. The planes that Steve sold? Still intact. Still flying. Roughed up, repainted, and back in the air as fast as it takes the glue to dry.
  
  Proof positive, after sticking one in a high tree (I tend to do that) the only recourse was to chop the dead sucker down. The tree fell ON THE PLANE. I had it back in the air in 24 hours. Can your other planes do that?
  
  Hands down Steve and Denise are the real deal. They love their product and their work, stand by their business, and are there with videos, email, and phone support to ensure you are getting the most out of your experience, not just the planes. Thanks to them I've stayed with this hobby since little crashes aren't big problems.
  
  Face it, if you were going to chuck $200 up in the air, wouldn't you want $200 worth coming back down? All my Killer Planes are still flying. Can't say that for what the other guys sell. Is Crashproofing worth the additional expense? You bet your crash.

  I was able to get into RC flying as quickly as I did thanks to Killer Planes. When I ordered my HawkSky they were the only ones I could find to have it in stock. The HawkSky is a fantastic beginner plane and it got me flying, but the crashproofing kit and extra battery that I ordered kept me flying. The aircam added another level of fun as well, and I have since taken some great aerial shots with it. Steve was really helpful when I called with questions, and he gave me easy tips on how to use the crashproofing rods. My HawkSky taught me how to fly RC planes, and it's still flying today (countless crashes later). I've even used it as a platform for FPV flying, and it works great!
