On the left hand side when you enter are the food items, and on the right, various fabrics. I didn't really have a plan to get anything
Is a wonderful place to shop and the workers do take their time to assist you with all your needs as long as is available in the store. Andi will always recommend this place to others just as it was to me by my cousin.
This is a cool store. On the left hand side when you enter are the food items, and on the right, various fabrics. I didn't really have a plan to get anything, I just wanted to check the store out initially. The lady behind the counter seemed to be having an important phone conversation, but wanted to help me and make sure I found everything I needed.
Behind the register seems to be a lot of the personal care products, they have a few different products with Neem in them, which is generally hard to find unless you come to stores like this, or Indian stores.
I don't know all the particular food items that they had, I think in the freezer in the back they had what looked to be fish steaks, which is pretty neat.
So many different spices, flour types, and variety of cooking base items. Very cool.
I admit that I am not well versed in the specifics of certain aspects of African culture, specifically the patterns and meanings behind the fabrics. I wanted to ask about what certain fabrics, styles and designs were used for culturally because I'm contextually aware of such things; some of the fabrics certainly couldn't be regular dress clothes, maybe on top of other shirts. I wanted to ask about them, but I did not want to bother the lady while she was still on the phone.
I discovered this store while passing through and I call that day my lucky day the best African market I've been to since I came to New jersey years ago very clean, everything you need from back home, highly professional and friendly and reasonable prices
New African market perfectly located near my job. The place is well organized and clean. The owner is friendly and cares about customer relations. The goods are also priced fair. You'll find just about everything you need here.
