  I reached out to John’s Dog Magic for assistance with my aloof, Shiba-mix rescue, Akiko. Akiko was anxious, distracted and overly stimulated by everything. I needed help establishing good habits and basic training to ensure a happy, healthy future together.
  
  John delivered an extra soft and well-behaved Akiko! Her homecoming included a 1:1 training session (including a walk) to understand and practice an entire page+ of cues!
  
  She responds to those cues! I no longer constantly check the doggy cam, and I am not worried about complaining neighbors. We are both confident on walks and ready for whatever may come our way.
  
  John still checks in and offers advice. He's extremely knowledgable, reliable and responsible! I will be hitting him up for boarding in the future as well!

  Definitely recommend John. He’s experienced, knowledgeable and caring. He offered many good suggestions/methods for helping our dog with fear issues. Clearly committed to helping dogs and their owners. And very nice to
  work with.

  John was amazing with our dog. Our “puppy” was a year old, didn’t have any training, and had some issues with behavior. We only had a few sessions with John because we were in the middle of a move out of the state. He helped us with our little guy and gave us training tips and methods that worked wonders. Can’t recommend John enough.

  John is a fabulous trainer. Private lessons have offered a wealth of knowledge on how to manage our energetic lab pup. Life at home with him became easier with each lesson. John uses positive reinforcement with treats to get our pup to focus. And it works! I’ve learned to be a better dog owner and our lab has improved his impulse control and is a well mannered dog. John is incredibly patient, hands on and a kindred spirit. Our pup loves John! I couldn’t recommend a better trainer.

  Love John and so do my dogs! He's the only one I trust my 2 senior dogs with. Super responsive, easy scheduling and reliable. Totally comfortable leaving my house keys with him while we're away. Highly recommended.
