He told me one price over the phone but when I brought the car to him to do my ac compressor, he changed the price by 80 bucks. I would recommend showing up and not calling to get a exact price for anything you need to get fixed for your car. The shop opens on Monday- Friday 8-4
Jim went above and beyond several times when I got stuck about 1/4 mile down the road from his shop. It was outside of normal business hours. He got my car to his shop and fixed the issue right away for an incredibly reasonable price. He is incredibly kind and trustworthy. I will always give him a call in the future when something goes wrong.
Got a recommendation to go see Jim from the guy I walk dogs for after getting an outrageous quote to replace my muffler from the Nissan dealership. Was definitely worth seeing Jim. He was very upfront and honest about what was wrong with my car and that I needed more than just a muffler replacement. And his original quote was still cheaper. There was also an unexpected issue with my catalytic converter, which he was also able to fix at a reasonable price and beforehand he showed me what was wrong with it. It was fixed the same day. I highly recommend Jim for your auto service needs. My car sounds so much better now.
I was driving home in my truck and heard hard knocking sound that it was determine coming from the rear end axle. i got home parked the truck and call Jim’s auto repair. i inform him of my issue, to my amaze he stop by my home to assess the problem on my truck. really Who does that? wow!! Brought the truck to his shop.A rear end broken spider gear pin on my Nissan Titan would of cost well over 4K at the dealer. Because Nissan does not sell spider gear pins separate had to buy the whole assembly $$$$ Jim’s Auto repair did amazing job repairing and saving me a lot $$$$. My truck was back on the road less then 2 days i Highly recommend his quality of service and professionalism.
I was driving from my home in Brockport/Buffalo NY to see my daughter in college at Néw Haven CT, and my car broke down in Springfield. It was Friday night at 10 pm and I immediately thought the worst. I found Jim in a google search and was shocked that any mechanic would answer the phone at 10 pm on a Friday night. Jim showed up to look at my car, assessed the issue in a parking lot, helped me get a tow truck, helped me find a room for the night until the parts store could open to get a new alternator. He could have left, he stayed and waited to ensure every detail was taken care of and we were picked up by an Uber. Jim seems to honestly care about people. He went out of his way to help us feel comfortable and changed a nightmare to be just a speed bump. He was up at the crack of dawn the next morning calling with a diagnosis and quote, so we could be on our way as soon as possible. Jim is reliable, fair, and honest. I had just meet the man and he treated us with love and respect as if we were long time family members. He said straight out, “I ‘m going to get you to your daughter as quickly and painlessly as possible “ and he delivered! We lost minimal time, the bill was more reasonable than any quote it looked at on google, and my ancient van (2008 entourage) is running great. Jim is 6 stars in a 5 star google review.
