(August 6, 2021, 10:01 am)Joe was super helpful when I needed 1 basement window replaced. Skip the big box stores when looking for windows, most of them are trash. Finding a local supplier willing to sell to an individual homeowner was quite hard also. I found West Essex Building Supply, and Joe was amazing. He was willing to take my emails and review pictures of my window opening and measurements. He was able to advise on what size I should order, and when I arrived to pickup my order, he had a demo rigged up for me to show me exactly how to properly install. I couldn't be more happy with the level of service and care. He even called me a few weeks later to check up on how the install went, the size was just right and no issues. Joe if you are reading this, thank you again, you are awesome!

(June 19, 2020, 5:14 pm)As a woman ordering construction materials, I am unfortunately unaccustomed to being treated with respect by lumberyards, and yet every time I've interacted with any West Essex employee it has been positive, respectful and pleasant. I will be continuing to give West Essex Building Supply my business! I have never been disappointed by their courtesy, professionalism, and prompt delivery.

(January 12, 2020, 1:23 pm)I chose this store because it was open a half hour later than the other lumber stores on a Saturday and I am so glad I went to this supply house. Going to lumber yards can be intimidating at times if you’re not a regular contractor or a busy do it yourself-er. George Dirk helped me that day and he couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. He was honest and guided me in the right direction when I was in he market for an Andersen French sliding door. He made the process quick and painless. They definitely procured a new customer for all my lumber needs. George also gave me a valuable lesson on tools purchased at a lumber store vs Home Depot. Thank you George for your help!

(June 14, 2019, 11:18 am)Amazing. Very patient and helpful as I picked out wood for a raised garden bed. 10 out of 10, I would come here for ALL my home projects. Ladies (from one to another), if you are intimidated by the thought of visiting a lumber yard this is a great one to frequent!
