Laurel literally helped me turn my life around. I was introduced to Laurel through a friend of another client and I was at a pretty dire point. After years of fad dieting on keto, I gained back all the weight I had lost and more. My body was beginning to crumble under my weight and the extreme stresses of my job and personal life. Laurel began to teach me how to approach weight loss in a sustainable way — certainly cutting back on a lot of what made me unhealthy but in a way that allowed me to have the flexibility to eat the foods I enjoyed. Everyone is different, but what helped me most was the accountability of setting small goals and changes each week and working towards those. We worked through getting me out of the severe brain fog that I was experiencing, reversing multiple out-of-range blood results, and getting me into an exercise routine that I actually liked doing. If I were trying to do this myself, I surely would have given up, but having someone to (virtually) hold my hand through it made a big difference. After the weeks went on and the results started showing, I was pushing myself more than she was pushing me. It’s been almost a year of working with Laurel and I’m nearly at my weight goal. I now fit into the clothes that I had been hanging onto for years and I feel like myself again. I even had to rescan my face on my phone because it no longer recognized me! Laurel was a pharmacist before she became a nutritionist, so she understands how food, vitamins, and medicines work in the body. I engaged Laurel because I was having difficulty losing and keeping off my weight. She encouraged me to log my food on an app, weight train, and take some supplements. Since working with Laurel, I've comfortably lost 45 pounds and an added bonus: lowered my Cholesterol, Glucose, and Triglycerides to within normal limits. I feel fabulous!
