(December 11, 2020, 11:30 am)The best word to describe Indigo Room is "magical." I’ve bought things there several times, and every time I step inside it’s like stepping into another world - a creative explosion of light, color, and beauty.
After I bought a new TV, there was a spot on my wall that needed something subtle and cool, and after talking with Kim, the owner, I bought a series of three small framed abstract paintings she had painted herself. It was the perfect thing for that space. Another time I bought a handmade sign on reclaimed wood as a housewarming gift for a colleague, and I’ve also bought a black ceramic plate adorned with Japanese calligraphy that sits on a shelf in my kitchen. And I’ll be going back for a Secret Santa present this weekend.
Every time I go there, it’s a little different with new pieces to marvel at: a painting, table, mask, dreamcatcher, ukulele, book, kimono, mirror, handmade cards, vintage glasses, planters and plants, jewelry, a sushi dinner set, handmade paper, candleholders, harmonicas, custom handmade signs and plaques, calligraphy sets, painted rocks, picture frames, and other things that I don’t even know what they are! There really is something for everyone. For every taste and every budget.
But really, my words don’t do it justice. You’ll have to experience it to know what I’m talking about, and then you’ll agree… Indigo Room is an amazing place and like no other shop you’ve ever been to. -
