  We recently had to euthanize our beloved cat Snickers whom we loved for 12 years. It was unexpected and very emotional. Dr. Rutherford and staff were so compassionate and so gentle with Snickers. I highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again if we ever have another pet. Thank you Dr Rutherford for your gentle care for Snickers and compassion in helping us make such a difficult decision.

  I no longer live in NY and so, unfortunately, can't bring my dog here anymore. However, my recent experiences with local vets in my new state of residence compelled me to leave this review, now that I realize how outstanding and unusual Hurley Veterinary's services are.
  It has been a challenge to find another vet where the receptionists are as consistently polite (or even answer the phone), where the vets are as thoughtful and humane, and where services, systems, online offerings, etc. are as regularly updated so as to make things easier and more efficient for customers. Furthermore, their services (at least as of 2022) were competitively priced with other vets in the Rondout area and very reasonable.
  I hope to someday find another veterinary clinic that is as stress-free and confidence-inspiring as Hurley Vet Hospital, and regret I can't bring my dog here anymore!

  Hurley Veterinary Hospital came highly recommended and I'm so glad we decided to try it. We have two dogs, one of whom is incredibly anxious at the vet, and they treated her with patience and kindness. Can't say enough about how comfortable we felt with Hurley right away!

  We have been going to HVH for over a decade and they've treated 4 of our dogs and 5 cats. They are knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and genuinely care about our pets! Being that we rescue Senior Labs we are there on a regular basis. The care they provide is second to none.
  The picture of Stephanie meeting our senior rescue Cooper for the first time sums up the practice perfectly.

  Hurley Vets have been my vet for 5 years for my lab. They are always professional and courteous. Dr Gunzburg is our doctor and he is outstanding. But in an emergency, if he is not available, I am happy seeing any vet in this practice. I am never disappointed.
