Staff was friendly and accommodating. A 5-10 minute lesson for 1st timers would be appreciated. We showed our 3 friends, all 1st timers. This was my 2nd time and there were a lot more boats docked where we were paddle boarding. This could be good or bad based on how well you can navigate the paddle board or swim around them as needed. Great for socializing...looking forward to going back!
We brought a group of teens and parents and had an enjoyable time kayaking/paddle boarding. The inlet was very calm. The nature is beautiful but the ugly fences, orange barriers, etc. really detract from the areas natural beauty. I hope that Croton spends the money soon on changing this and either installing some fencing that complements the beauty o the area or removing it all together.
We enjoyed being in the kayak at Croton Point Park. The company provided life vests and the paddle. We went early before the crowds arrived and had the bay pretty much to ourselves. It was a very enjoyable experience!!
So fun! All the staff were helpful and friendly and got us right into our rental kayaks at Tarrytown Lakes. Everything was well run and clean! We were able to bring our pup along with us and saw lots of turtles in the lake. Water was calm and we had a great time!
Had no idea this activity of kayaking was available at this price or at this location. It's a great activity. I treated my daughter and her friend to kayak rentals for her 17th Birthday. I found the experience easy, welcoming, and organized. Our staff member who set up the girls was very knowledgeable and communicative, well spoken and patient when I had questions later in the day. I usually don't like the loud Latin music coming from some of the picnics on the lawn, but on that day it didn't bother me - I could see everyone was happy to be outside and enjoying the beautiful weather. I waited on shore doing a landscape painting while the kids were out. I would go back in minute, this time my wife and I will rent for ourselves as well. The boats were about the harbor, it was a great vibe to see the kayakers, SUP's and the boats coexisting. Thumbs up!
