  I highly recommend Dr. Saju Matthew of Hudson River Orthodontics.
  My daughter had a really challenging set of teeth when the permanent teeth started coming out, as well as a jaw that was too narrow to accommodate a whole set of teeth. She was referred to Dr. Matthew by her dentist, Dr. Jed Best and Dr. Jerry Ashrafi when she was 7 years as they both felt we should not delay. The crowding was so intense (three permanent teeth in her gums, positioned one on top of the other) that Dr. Mathew was not sure and told me privately that at a later stage he may have to remove permanent teeth to straighten her teeth out…he said that he hoped with his treatment the jaw would expand, but there were no guarantees. He was glad that I had come early. The way he described it to me…just like the center of the head in a new born baby’s skull is not fully sealed until they are around two, similarly, the cartilage of the jaw and palate are soft and can be stretched a bit until around 10-11 years. Long story short…the process of expanding her jaw and palate and then straightening her teeth took many years and was an involved process with Dr. Matthew doing an amazing job as well as preparing my daughter for the different stages so she could take the steps he needed her to on a daily basis. She also did not need to loose any of her permanent teeth during the process.
  
  I cannot describe how challenging a feat Dr. Matthew achieved with her. Today, seven years down the line at age 14, she has a beautiful set of teeth and is in the last stages of her treatment where she uses a retainer every night to ensure that her teeth stay in place. I highly in recommend Dr. Matthew as he is a gifted orthodontist and has a great bedside manner with the kids. He is reasonable and timely with his appointments. After I started my daughter’s treatment with him, I found other kids from my daughter’s school also went to him and were extremely satisfied.

  If you need orthodontic work, you can't go wrong with Hudson River Orthodontics. Dr. Mathew and his entire staff are warm, friendly and comforting. My daughter had an expander and braces (retainer now) and her smile is perfect (woohoo!). They explained everything every step of the way AND even though we moved to Connecticut, they were accommodating with Saturday orthodontic care. Highly recommend!

  I was referred by my dentist to have my Invisalign done at Hudson River Orthodontics with Dr. Saju Matthew. He corrected my teeth crowding and bite issues with precision and care. I'm very happy with the final result after about one year of treatment and refinement. The facility is clean and well organized, and the staff members from the front-desk to the clinicians are all so friendly and caring. Appointment booking and rescheduling is smooth. I also appreciate the extra COVID-19 safety measures in place during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 when I started this journey. It made me feel extra safe. Thank you Hudson River Orthodontic and Dr. Matthew.

  Highly recommend Hudson River Orthodontics. Dr. Mathew and the staff are very kind and understanding. I enjoyed the comforting environment each time I had an appointment. Dr. Mathews and the staff also made the process easier by providing helpful explanations and insight each visit. I am very grateful for their help in fixing my smile.

  You could not ask for more from Dr Mathew’s orthodontic practice. The entire office is run like a well-oiled machine. He and his staff are readily available and interested in addressing any questions or concerns you might have about your child’s orthodonture. Dr Mathew himself has a gentle and attentive bedside manner, can effectively quell anxious parents and kids, shares best options for addressing your kid’s needs, and then tops it all off by giving excellent patient care. Plus, all the numerous follow-up appointments you’ll inevitably need to make to monitor your kid’s care are handled so smoothly and efficiently by the friendly staff at the front desk. Essentially, the experience of being the family of a patient of Dr Mathew’s checks every single box!
