We are members even though we live in NYC-my kids love it and we combine a visit to Blooming Hill Farm (nearby in Washingtonville) or Jones Farm (right across the street) with Grasshopper Grove for a perfect day out and about. In addition to the play area and the beautiful trails we love the events-maple sugar workshop, the overnight camping trip, the Halloween event.

(September 4, 2022, 2:53 pm)Grasshopper Grove is amazing! If you’re into Wild+Free, Charlotte Mason, or any sort of nature play, this is heaven! Gorgeous environment for kids of all ages to play freely and explore.
Not pictured are the very cool water play areas. A decent amount of shade for the summer too. -

(August 21, 2022, 3:20 pm)So this place has turned into a preschool area. The museum is actually elsewhere. Nevertheless, there is grasshopper's Grove, a place where children can play, some benches and tables under the trees to relax, and wonderful trails to explore (about 4). They are not lengthy and you will enjoy the scenery which is breathtaking.
