The Home Instead team has been exceptionally helpful during our work with them over the past two years. They continually adapt to our evolving needs, and have kindly responded to more short-notice requests for schedule changes or additional help than I can count. Emma, who currently works with our dad is an absolute gem! She has contributed greatly to our dad's quality of life, and perhaps even more so to our peace of mind. I have to admit that I was initially wary of a commitment to home care service. Based on our experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead. I'm grateful for the help they continue to provide.
UPDATE - I am adding an update 5 months after my original review.
When my dad's needs advanced to the point where he needed live-in assistance, Home Instead responded in less than a week. Elise was our dad's live-in caretaker as he advanced through live-in hospice care. She became a member of our extended family is short time, and was an absolute Godsend in helping to take care of our dad's every need. Based on our experience, I would recommend Home Instead without reservation. -

(July 31, 2022, 5:37 pm)Home Instead definitely bent over backward to fill a week of 24/7 slots in Ocean City this summer for my parents. ALL the caregivers were so friendly, helpful and comforting to my parents. And they got along so great with the rest of my family, as if they were old family friends come for a visit. They made our vacation easier and stress free. We are grateful!
