  Coming from a wrestling background, I was introduced to this dojo by my brother to work on my bjj game, coach Henry is fair but firm when it comes to discipline and techniques being taught and understood at his school, paying close attention to detail has helped my bjj game tremendously, whether you’re trying to compete or get in shape, Hillsborough BJJ is the place to be!

  I have trained Jiu Jitsu for 10 years. Hillsborough BJJ is absolutely one of the best schools in the area.
  If you’re a beginner the school is great because it is extremely welcoming and will help you in every way to get started.
  If you’re an experienced grappler the school is great because the instruction is top-notch and I’ve seen a huge improvement in my game even as someone coming in with a lot of experience.
  I give Hillsborough BJJ my highest recommendation.

  I started my jiu jitsu journey in Jan of 2021 after many years of excuses. Coach Henry is an amazing coach who definitely takes an interest in his students. If you put your 100% the value you will get in return will far exceed that. Since I have started I lost 55lbs, gained a brotherhood and have a goal in sight that I can confidently say I am working towards. If your thinking about joining this gym, do yourself a favor and DO NOT HESITATE!!

  I walked into hillsborough bjj looking for a new way to get in shape. I knew nothing about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but what I found was an incredible environment of people who were focused in this martial art and welcoming to anyone willing to work at it. Leave your ego at the door and embrace this mind blowing experience. I'm getting in better shape and I'm definitely learning the self defense that will give me an edge if needed.   Hillsborough BJJ maintains a very friendly and clean learning environment for the students. Henry has created a learning environment that is rich with knowledge and passion for the art. Ever since I began training here, I have never had a negative experience and all of the students get along and move like a well oiled machine. Henry and the students you train with are sure to start a passion in your heart and mind for the sport that is Brazilian jiu jitsu.
