  Chester Hicks restored my family grandmother clock that had not run in more than 10 years. It was serviced previously and only ran for a few months then stopped. My hopes of ever hearing its beautiful chimes was shattered until we found Mr. Hicks. He was polite, knowledgeable, professional, dependable, honest and an obvious lover of clocks. He picked it up and reset it after restoration which was such a relief. The case was cleaned and waxed and the clock is running beautifully. I would recommend Mr. Hicks enthusiastically for any clock related services and without hesitation. He is a true master of his profession and a pleasure to do business with. Hicks Antique Clocks is the BEST I’ve found in 40 years! Thank you Mr. Hicks for the joy you’ve brought back to our home.

  We moved from Norwalk to Litchfield and the mover had no idea how to rehang the pendulum of our case clock (nor did we). The clock stood still until we found Chester Hicks. He was willing to drive from Bloomfield and did a first class job for us: rehang the pendulum, shimmed the clock so it stands perfectly upright, and oiled all the appropriate places. He also offered insights into the clock's age and value. HEARTILY recommended.
