  My agent was extremely helpful in settling a repair dispute with my insurer. She kept me appraised of the developments of my situation
  as they occurred. Ms Austin was able to mediate what was becoming a rather frustrating
  experience involving repairs to chimney, foundation issues as well as hardscaping. I am most satisfied with The Heist Agency’s representation and results in my particular situation.

  Somehow my payment was lost between being sent by my mortgage company and being received by the insurance company-without my knowing until I received a cancellation letter. I called and Kate Austin kept me calm, explained how it happened, and what could be done. She then stayed on top of my mortgage company until they resent payment, and followed up daily to let me know when the insurance received payment. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. This was the first time in 13 years I needed to call, and I was not disappointed!

  It was a stressful time during our purchase of our vacation home in late 2017. We overlooked the timing required to purchase homeowners and flood insurance.   In general, Insurance is a hassle. You can spend thousands of dollars for no visible benefit......until you NEED help with an issue with your property. That’s why having a proactive agency that provides guidance in addition to selling you a policy is crucial.
  
  The team at Heist Insurance is one of those special companies with a staff who cares about its clients. I’ve purchased my homeowners, Condo, and Flood policies from Heist for almost 20 years. I continue to be impressed how Ellen, Laura and others there have called me because THEY found a less expensive policy with a good firm for the same or better coverage - all prior to me asking them for it. There have been times when we forgot to pay the bill and the team at Heist has alerted us prior to the policy expiring. So proactive.

  Thomas Heist Agency insures both my personal property and the three condo buildings I am involved in locally. As a realtor, they are one of the first agencies that I will suggest a home buyer to go to for a quote. In addition, their customer skills are fantastic. I've always gotten a prompt call back if I haven't been able to reach them the first time.
