  We called another farm in the area for lessons but she referred us to Hazelnut Farms because she felt it was a better fit for what we were looking for in a lesson program. This introduction was exactly what we wanted. We learn how to care for the horses so you develop a personal connection. Lynn, our instructor, carefully selects horses for you at each stage to help you grow & learn new skills. She truly cares about how much you learn over time & challenges you keep improving where you need to. Her Co Owner, Patrick also really cares about your growth as a rider . Jessica, our other instructor, has another perspective on teaching which so incredibly helpful. She’s extremely observant & intuitive with her students & with the horses as well. A bonus is the kids taking lessons are always eager to assist & the other riders always support/give advice. My husband & I love our lessons & this Family owned Farm truly works so hard.

  We have been riding at Hazelnut Farms for over a year, and it’s been a wonderful experience. The facilities, horses, and owners (Lynn and Pat) are amazing. Our kids have completely advanced in their riding, and I’ve also started taking lessons. Jessica is also one of the main trainers and her patience and expertise is incredible. It’s completely hands on, and the horses are amazing. They also have so many fun activities throughout the year (Halloween party, holiday party, summer and fall horse shows, braiding clinics, hack days, etc) that kids (and adults) will love!!

  Love this place! I’ve been lessoning here for almost a year now. Lynn and Jessica are incredible trainers and completely individualize every lesson to your needs + development areas. The barn has a little bit of everything- h/j, eq, dressage, hunter paces, rated shows, schooling shows, the list goes on! They have horses for everyone- cute little lesson ponies perfect for a new/young rider, and extremely talented horses that can help an experienced rider level-up. The horses are happy and well taken care of and the facilities are truly incredible. The prices are more than reasonable for the location and quality. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

  Hazelnut Farm is absolutely wonderful. I board my older pony and feel so comfortable knowing that she is there and in the best care. Lynn loves and treats all the horses there like they are her own and attends to all their specific and special needs. The new facility is beautiful and clean. I couldn't ask for a better place to keep my favorite girl!

  LOVE Hazelnut!!! Lynn is such a talented trainer and a wonderful person. She makes Hazelnut Farms a welcoming place for everyone: kids and their families. For her lesson program, she teaches the kids horse-woman ship and horse care. I love that my daughter grooms and tacks up her horse for her lesson! Lynn also gets to know each of the kids really well and pays individual attention to them and their equestrian skills. As an adult, I’ve also taken lessons with Lynn. She was an amazing teacher! I feel like this barn is both down-to-earth and very professional. I feel like I hit the jackpot when I found Hazelnut! I absolutely love it and so does my daughter. It is like a family.
