Five stars because no one broke into my car to steal a bag of potato chips!
Good spot to access the trail. No restrooms.
2/20/21 beautiful day. Conditions excellent. Had the trail all to ourselves!
Parking lot for around fifteen vehicles. No port-a-potty, wi-fi (scarcely cellular service in this rural location), bench nor picnic table. The paved Harlem Valley Rail Trail heads northwards from the lot, the southern projection still unbuilt. The next paved portion of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail is at Columbia County’s Copake Falls’ Taconic State Park, to which this present stretch will soon be connected.
Small but wide-laned parking lot for the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. The stretch of the HVRT is paved and scenic, overlooked by Taconic Mountain. The photographs previously submitted for this location do not exactly correspond to this geolocation, but are taken from a point 7.8 kilometers further north, outside Taconic State Park. There was no port-a-potty stationed at this parking lot during this review.
