It feels like a place where all the nuts and bolts are solid but then the attention to detail makes it feel a little bit special. The wine list had a nice balance European and more local offerings, the table lighting came from individually curated vintage candlestick holders...they were super accommodating with our 9 year-old. We’ll be back!

(August 12, 2023, 9:33 pm)Stumbled upon this charming restaurant serving delicious burgers ad hoc on their deck before they formally opened for dinner. The freshly grilled burger was supremely tasty with crunchy pickles and caramelized onions. Owner is friendly and inclusive. Great vibe

The staff truly cares about your experience and the food is lovingly created with the highest quality & local ingredients.
The menu is seasonal and caters all preferences and cravings. The wine list is delightful and their cocktails delicious. Highly recommended! -

After a gorgeous hike in the hills above Stamford we walked down to Half Acre and had dinner. One of us needed food asap so we ordered house tots and Dijon fingerling potatoes (we love potatoes!) to snack on with our wine / cider / cocktail orders. Our table ordered a couple of Half Acre burgers, the stuffed squash and the roast chicken. All good. Fun crowd, lovely wait staff. A good time was had by all -

(September 6, 2022, 9:35 am)We stumbled across this place by chance and I’m very glad we did. We had a long day of hiking, which is pretty typical of being in the Catskills. Needless to say, we were starving and on the hunt for food. After passing on the urge to join a lady that resembled my mom dancing to Lil Jon in a cafe across the street we found Half Acre. Any type of food would of done, but this was a delicious surprise. The food was as awesome as the service. I had the pork and the arm candy I’m in love with had the summer vegetable pasta. You can genuinely taste the difference in ever ingredient that has been brought in fresh by a nearby farm each day. If you’re in the area I highly recommend that you come try this place. With or without the hunger from the hike.
