  Before I began please let me state that I am giving this school 4 stars because I am a huge supporter of the Mastery Organization. My nephew attends the school and they have made many improvements since taking it over a few years ago.
  
  I do have a concern regarding the professionalism of the front desk staff. A few days ago my sister came to the school to fill out a permission slip so my nephew could attend a school dance. She had already paid for it the prior week but unfortunately the original permission slip was accidentally thrown out (life happens).
  
  One of the teachers walked her to the front desk for help and at the time the attendance officer was covering it. My sister asked her if there were any more permission slips left. She wasn’t sure but the young lady who usually works the desk had just walked up. The attendance officer asked her if there were anymore and she responds “that the money was due on Friday”. The teacher who originally helped my sister explained to her that some parents, (including my sister), had already paid but didn’t have permission slips.
  
  The teacher then noticed one taped to the desk and starts to remove It to make copies. The front desk lady responds in a tone not very becoming of a receptionist “Who hands in money without permission slips? They should have had their money in by Friday...” At his time both the teacher and the attendance officer gave her a look and front desk lady stopped talking.
  
  My sister was filling out the slip at the time and said nothing. She completed the slip and handed it to the front desk lady and we left.
  
  First let me state that my sister was completely against me posting a negative review because she cares very deeply about the school and all the work they do for the community. I am doing this totally on my own accord because with all the “good” you do in the community it means nothing when you don’t treat its members with respect.
  
  I know parental involvement can be abysmal at this school but don’t you think the members of that community should be treated with respect will encourage more parents to participate? I know you deal with some A-hole parents but my sister isn’t one of those parents. She came to your front desk and kindly asked for assistance with an issue and she was met with judgement and downright arrogance.
  
  In closing Thanks to the two staff members who made diligent efforts to assist my sister in-spite of the receptionists sentiments. And to the receptionist, I understand you deal with a lot of personalities on a day to day basis but you she treat all people courteously irregardless of your personal views.
