Wow! Had lower back pain for years and took the 'wait and see' approach. I then wound up having a sciatic pain and my fiancé convinced me to call a chiropractor. I looked up those in my insurance's network and Dr. Stokes' name stood out in the reviews. The man is the mayor of a great little town over the river and an absolute pleasure to speak with. Upon arriving, my anxiety was high, but that was soon quelled. Unlike my primary care doctor that aims to see as many patients as quickly as possible, Dr. Stokes began his conversation with the fact that 'Doctor' is latin for Teacher - and boy did he live up to that! We had a very educational chat about my symptoms and potential causes. He went into detail on his family's education and chiropractic success stories riddled with lots of humor. After we explored my reasons for my visit, got educated on his field and laughed - we went in for the initial adjustment. Immediate relief was felt... I just felt different. This was my first visit ever, so I am sure more is to come. When we were finished we talked about some other things Dr. Stokes was involved with and our shared love for camping/exploring. We didn't want to leave! I wanted to sign up for more visits just to hang out and learn from him! This man loves what he does and its evident that his purpose here is to help, educate and do his part to make society just a little bit better.
Dr. Stokes is awesome, I came in on Wednesday with a work related injury to my lower back I was in so much pain and could hardly move or walk. He took me in last minute with no appointment and by Friday after going consequently for those three days I was back up on my feet feeling way better. I would 100% strongly recommend anybody in the area to go here for any back related injury or pain.
After seeing several chiropractors and not being satisfied, Dr. Stokes was a god send. He’s helped me with injuries I’ve seen friends get surgeries to fix. When my wife fell at home and could hardly move, he came to our house on his day off to adjust her and get her moving again. He’s truly a beautiful human being and an excellent doctor, highly recommend!
I am a 20-year-old competitive runner and came to Dr. Stokes for a variety of issues ranging from a torn calf muscle to chronic chest pain after years of bad posture and a collapsed lung. A week out from my first adjustment, I have not had any chest pain nor pain while running. While seeing a chiropractor came heavily recommended, I was still uneasy since I had been having pain daily for years. Dr. Stokes has been able to align me and send me out the door with a smile everyday. I have since been able to take a deep breath without discomfort for the first time in a long time as well as do my runs pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Stokes and the small-town family business environment his practice offers!
