  I’ve seen Great Piece Meadows on maps and how big it is but never been in it. So one day I decided to go. I came thru on a side street off of Pine Brook Road there aren’t very many trails and it’s not really a good place to go if you wanna go for a hike. However the Passaic River runs thru the park so if you like to go kayaking or boating I would recommend this place. It’s beautiful but it floods so beware of that.

  This is one of the few places in NJ where you can have a peaceful kayaking experience.

  The fishing is excellent but there is often debris in the water that has been thrown in the water. Have seen fox, muskrat, hawks, deer, herons, kingfishers and plover. So good for birding. Definitely good to kayak.
