Training with Professor Carroll and Professor Laurel will inspire you to be a better person on the mats as well as off. In the last 7 months I’ve found myself eating better, weight training, and my daily stress level has dropped significantly. I’m grateful I found Grail and I couldn’t imagine life without jiujitsu.

The encouragement and support I’ve gotten as a newcomer from both Professors and training partners has been truly inspiring. It’s helping me make so many positive changes in my life. (March 8, 2023, 3:31 pm)I recently joined Grail JiuJitsu, and I am really excited about the opportunities there. I have been practicing martial arts for about 20 years- from Kung Fu - to Combat Submission Wrestling - to Wing Chun - to Jeet Kun Do and JiuJitsu. Although all of these arts are great in and of themselves, everything starts with the instructors and the learning environment. For all of the years that I have been practicing the arts, this is the first time that I feel like I just can’t wait to get to class- I count the minutes! Professor Carroll and Professor Laurel create a wonderful, joyful and supportive environment. I am truly grateful that I found Grail, and I consider it the final stop on my Martial Arts journey. There is nowhere else that I’d rather be. If you want to learn self defense with a wonderful group of people, Grail is your place!

(February 20, 2023, 10:06 pm)Initially, I was afraid to start jiu-jitsu because I did not want to get hurt or work so closely with strangers… after joining Grail, all of those worries were put behind me! Professors Carroll & Laurel are very knowledgeable & have been absolutely exceptional to work with. The classes are very diverse, & all of the students have been extremely warm & welcoming. The Professors break down & demonstrate each of the different techniques in a step-by-step process, which makes things easier to understand. It can be a little overwhelming & intimidating when you are first beginning your martial arts journey, but if you stick with it, everything starts to get easier & make more sense. After almost four months of jiu-jitsu, I find myself looking forward to each class -- I HIGHLY recommend Grail to anyone looking to improve their overall health and mindset.

(February 19, 2023, 6:55 pm)My two children have been training the martial arts with Grail Jiu Jitsu for a little over a year now and they love it! They have so much fun each week and enjoy making friends. More than that, as a parent, I can see the positive impact that training has had on them. They’re physically and mentally stronger each week. They’re proud of themselves and my husband and I couldn’t be prouder of them pushing themselves to learn more skills. Professor Laurel, along with Ms. Lucia and Ms. Saachi, run an amazing children’s program. They’re kind and encouraging, but also stress student safety and making smart choices. I would highly, highly recommend Grail Jiu Jitsu to any child or adult looking to make big improvements in their lives.
