  Had first hike here over the weekend, by 51 and rt17m. Beautiful views. Not sure if the all downed trees on the main (mostly paved) trail were always there or fell this winter, but they are easily passed. About a mile in on the main trail came to a point with a lot of downed trees and some scary "widow maker" limbs were dangling from trees over the path (attached photo).
  Decided not to take any chances as it was breezy that day, so took one of the side trails at that point. It was the best decision! My dog and I had a great time waking the trail and experiencing a hike for the first time. The trail passed the brook a couple of times, which was nice. There were some trail bike riders and other couples/families along the way but not overcrowded. Everyone was really nice.
  Can't wait to go back this spring and summer. I think it will be better option for walking the dog due to shade and not a lot of pavement/blacktop.

  A bit too populated these days, but a sweet walk on mostly paved & then smooth dirt surfaces. Please gather some sticks & leave them on the bridge over Seely Brook for my pup...

  Very nice hike. Some reasonable climbs with well maintained trails. I saw two deer, two red tailed hawks, and a pack of wild turkeys.
