There is a hidden beach area that looks very clean. The castle looks very unique and is a main attraction in Connecticut. Must visit

(July 21, 2023, 11:25 am)The grounds are beautiful & the tour was very interesting- definitely worth the $ & time. We spent about an hour there. There are 3 levels of stairs, but you can go at your own pace, one floor at a time. My mom has back issues and did just fine.

(July 18, 2023, 11:46 am)This place is awesome. It’s tucked away in the Forested area of Connecticut. The grounds are filled with beautiful tall trees as well as the historic view of the castle. The gift shop offer great souvenirs and the town has colonial charm all over it.I recommend this place to any one local and foreigners to visit. You won’t regret it.

(June 17, 2023, 8:23 am)Really worth the visit. You can take many nice pictures from all angles of the castle, including the view of the river. The added bonus is the really shady trail. Parking (free) is near the castle too. There's a $6 tour of the castle if you are interested. We were hoping the ice cream shop would be open but it was not. Overall it was a really good experience for our family.
