I truly can’t give enough praise to accurately describe how wonderful the attentiveness was that we received from George G Bensing Funeral Home. “Above and beyond” wouldn’t even be close. Their sincerity with all aspects was as if they cared about our loss to the same extent as us and they were willing to do everything in their power to ease and comfort the entire process.
After unexpectedly losing my mom at 33 I had no idea what to do when it came to preparing end of life services. Her and I had never really spoken on what she wanted and she had no living will. I called multiple funeral homes and a lot of them seemed like I should just know what was suppose to be done. I was thankful when I finally called here and John’s wife answered and was so comforting and understanding. From there I met with John, who was very professional and helped with guiding me on what needed to be done. He was kind enough to be patient during the hardest time of my life. Him and his staff went above and beyond the night of my mother’s services to make sure everything was how I requested. They even helped with donations I had received to be brought to our home the next day since my car could not fit all of them. Thank you for helping me every step of the way Mr and Mrs Simons.
I would just like to express my thoughts & experiences with George Bensing funeral home. John Sarah & the entire staff were the the most compassionate people when my husband passed. They were there to take care of all our needs Above & Beyond what we ever expected. They explained everything to us explicitly. I would give them the highest praise & appreciation for making the process easier at such a difficult time. They also were very reasonable.
My family has used Bensing for many years and they have always been wonderful in helping us honor our loved ones. Most recently my dad passed away, and John and Sarah were there for our family through each step of planning Dad’s services. From the moment Sarah answered my initial call they assured us that Dad would be taken care of with dignity and respect. John was very caring and honest with regard to costs and honoring Dad. They provided support through every moment, and were extremely gracious with time. There was not one moment where my family felt rushed. We were able to grieve and celebrate his life in the way and time we needed to. They offered support with getting necessary paperwork and helping my mom know all the phone calls she will need to make in these next few weeks. They also have wonderful relationships within the community, and so many people from the cemetery staff, the company we used for the headstone, and even our neighbors have had both personal and professional experiences with Bensing. The common statement from everyone is , “If you used Bensing you don’t need to worry about anything they will take care of it. They are good people.” My Dad looked so peaceful and so like himself. John, Sarah, and the rest of the staff and family at Bensing, we cannot thank you enough for helping us say goodbye with such dignity and respect.
My family is grateful for the compassionate and comprehensive way in which the arrangements and funeral for my brother were handled. Every detail was attended to: the service they offered went above and beyond—the way a funeral should be handled. Cannot thank John, Sarah and the staff enough for their respectful care…of my brother and all of us.
