Dr. Salkind saved my life! Before being lucky enough to meet Dr. Salkind I went to three ERs begging for help; I was shoved out of the door by every single doctor. I was in daunting severe pain! Eventually, in complete tears desperation and agony I showed up at Holy Redeemer. Finally, I was given an MRI and a proper assessment. Moments after the MRI I met Dr. Salkind. The results of my MRI brought the lifesaving neurosurgeon genius right into my hospital room. When he looked at me he actually saw me and my pain. He cared and that immediately gave me hope. It was the biggest sigh of relief I had ever felt when he told me he was going to help me. Dr. Salkind advocated for me every step of the way. He explained the ACDF surgery to me and did everything he could to help me through the pain. When I first met him the nerve pain traveling down my arm was so severe that I wanted my arm amputated and I was honestly dead serious. Dr. Salkind assured me that I could keep my arm! He explained that he could fix my cervical spine to make the nerve pain stop. Dr. Salkind did exactly as he promised. I will never forget it and I wake up everyday truly thankful. Whenever I start to fear feeling pain like that again I now can remind myself that there are surgeons out there like Dr. Salkind, he truly saved my life.

Dr Bruno is no joke. I kept certain details quite about my injury. But he knew all about it by looking at the images where other doctors some how seemed to fail making any mention of these particular details. He also fought for me! He hopped right up on the horn and started making phone calls on my behalf. Dr Bruno tried to put me through to Gene Salkind, but my insurance doesn't cover Salkind :(
I really need help. But i really want to give credit where credit is due and reciprocate when i see a good doctor. You are our true champions!
p.s. i dont know why Dr Bruno Reviews are under Gene Salkind. But i know Salkind is no joke because i hear things.
Dr. Bruno first cared for my husband. He answered all of my questions in regards to husbands surgery. He was utmost compassionate, knowledgeable doctors we’ve met. When it was time for me as the patient, my level of standards are much higher which only few doctors can measure up. Thankfully, hands-down, Dr. Bruno not only qualified by my high standards but he went well above it. It’s a distant drive, but when you require the smartest, compassionate, warm bedside manner, one who doesn’t just say his patients matter; he actually demonstrates it personally.... I’ll go the distance for this fantastic dr any day!!!
Dr Bruno took excellent care of me before, during and after my discectomy. I had 2 discs replaced in my neck. From my first meeting with him to my final appointment I had no doubt or fear. Everyone told me to seek a second opinion. Although I did not feel it necessary I did. The dr I met with just confirmed what I already knew....I selected the best doctor when I chose Dr Bruno. Surgery went smoothly. Relief as soon as I opened my eyes. I didn't even need the pain medication given. Dr Bruno thoroughly knows his field. I have and continue to recommend him to anyone with back or neck issues.
