  February 1. 6:00 PM. I limp into Gaylord wearing a post-op boot after bunion surgery. My right big toe is stiff and inflexible. Walking is painful. Running impossible. I can’t drive. I can’t stand in the shower. Three months later, and two sessions per week with Kayla, I can do all of these things. (Running to a lesser degree, but I’m almost there.)
  
  Before surgery, I was a runner who notched twenty-five-plus miles a week. So knowing I would be sidelined for months depressed me. But after Kayla asked about my therapy goals—to run again, to drive again, to walk up stairs and to shower again—she assured me we would achieve them. This was our first session. Seventeen sessions later and her confidence never waned. Neither did my progress.
  
  A word on Kayla Trobec: She’s kind. She’s joyful. She’s knowledgeable. She’s excellent. I never asked, and maybe I didn’t need to, but physical therapy feels like her vocation. Witnessing her interactions with other clients, there’s love there. She cares. And for me, that’s as critical to strengthening a surgically repaired foot as any farmer’s carry.

  I started coming here as a post-op orthopedic patient about a year ago, the entire bottom of my tibia had a pylon fracture, and I had a series of four extensive reconstructive surgeries. I have metal grafted to my tibia, my ankle has been permanently impaired, and when I showed up to Gaylord for the first time I was in a wheelchair. My healing process was always going to be long, but Yarden has made that recovery significantly more bearable. She gives fantastic advice, really listens to your needs, and bonds with her patients. My recovery had a long roadmap and was very complex, and not once did she back down from the challenge. Yarden is a truly fantastic physical therapist, and I would encourage any orthopedic patients to ask for her. I highly recommend signing up here if you need any PT.

  Went to Gaylord in Cheshire after my second neck surgery to reduce my neck pain and gain my movement back. The experience was amazing. Eric S was great to work with. The whole team really. In the end I was able to get back 90%+ of range of movement. More than even the doctors thought I’d get. Go there. You won’t be disappointed. Ask for Eric S.

  The Cheshire location is fantastic. After 2 ankle surgeries, and poor experiences at other PT places, Yarden is the best PT around! The assistants are also great. Everyone is kind and helpful. Yarden is always encouraging and supportive, and I have made more progress here than at any other PT place. I 100% would recommend Gaylord PT to anyone in need of post op rehab.

  Gaylord PT is an exceptional place. The advice, support and especially understanding of the staff is excellent. Eric Sokolowski is the best PT I have ever had. His ability to be encouraging, empathetic and firm is what I have been looking for. Eric not only communicates well, but he really listens and works to provide an individual training program specific to the patient. I have had trauma both personally and physically (back issue), and Eric has a keen sense of what I need to improve my health and athletic ability. I even rest with heat on my back in a meditation room. What a unique way to finish my workout! The staff aids are extremely friendly, and the front desk staff make me feel welcome upon entering the office. Eric has made me stronger, and I am grateful for the expertise he provides. I feel like a powerful Mom who got her strength back, because of my treatment with Eric and Gaylord!
