  It was very late and our Lexi passed away in our arms at 11:27 pm. We did not know what to do and we’re in shock. We called Garden State Vet Services at around 12 am and they picked up and explained the process of cremation very easily. The employee assisting us even asks to remeasure our baby girl to make sure we were not getting overcharged based on the weight we assumed she was. She lost a lot of weight in her last weeks and she was indeed much lighter. They gave us a box with her hair and a place to put her photo and they even sent us a handwritten condolences card to our house. They are very sweet. Thank you.

  I have had to come to Garden State twice for in the past few months for actively dying dogs. They were able to save my 12 year old pomeranian and she is more active than she's been in the last 5 years. The doctors explained everything and repeated things or clarified if we had questions. We spoke with the surgeon pre and immediately post op so I wasn't waiting all day to hear if she survived. I am forever grateful that they saved her.
  
  My second pomeranian was a rescue and we didn't know his history. We brought him in yesterday for a sudden heart attack and while Garden State was not able to save him they provided the best care we could have asked for. It was his time and no one would have been able to stop it. The team was very compassionate, the doctor explained all the options we had and when it was over we were able to hold our baby in a blanket and grieve in peace of a private room and say goodbye. While I have lost my baby I am still thankful to the team that treated him and were so compassionate and caring to us in our loss.

  Steer clear of the one star reviews.
  They are not indicative of the amazing staff here.
  
  These people take care of MANY peoples animals in 2023. They are low staffed. Not paid enough and it's a very very hard industry.
  
  That being said.
  
  They took care of me as a disabled veteran dog dad. This was my Service Animal and my best friend. They didn't have to be so nice and kind but they were every step of the painful process of saying goodbye to my best friend of 14 years.
  
  Think about the people who take care of our beloved animals and don't treat them like a walmart cashier or gas station attendant.
  These people LOVE and care and do a thank less job for our pets and family members best care.
  
  They provided my Dottie the best care possible and were very apologetic to the loss I was going through. They recognized my pain was real and limited the questions and let me process in peace.
