Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Ridgefield

My fiancé and I went to this dance studio to take lessons to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. Neither of us had ever taken a dance lesson prior to heading to Fred Astaire in Ridgefield. Krystin was an energetic, excellent, and vibrant teacher. She had us dancing by the end of the first lesson. Krystin worked with us to choreograph our entire first dance. The process was so much fun, and we always felt welcomed into the studio with smiles. I cannot give enough praise to Krystin and Chris at this studio!

I cannot recommend Kristyn and Chris's dance studio enough for all ages and levels of experience. Most importantly K&C are exceedingly impressive and delightful individuals that work well together and are clearly a prized asset of the community.

My wife and I were gifted a few lessons to practice for the first dance of our wedding and our handful of lessons quickly became our most favorite part of the planning and prep process leading up to the big day. We added more lessons and have been fortunate enough to still find the time to maintain semi-regular lessons.

Instead of stuffing our faces at yet another over indulgent and increasingly expensive meal, a regular lesson is well worth the time and resources to break up our workaday routines and typical leisure past times. No matter how we feel when we first walk in, we always leave the studio feeling rejuvenated and overcome with pure delight.

As an added bonus, K&C host weekly events for their students, which are a great opportunity to practice in their wonderful and soon to be fully remodeled space and meet your neighbors.

If you're still reading this, delay no further in scheduling your first lesson. Dancing is a timeless and enriching delight for all to enjoy, but I imagine few can claim to have the privilege of learning from such caring, hard working, and talented professionals as Kristyn and Chris.

My wife and I have gone to about 8-10 different dance studios over 6 years, and the Fred Astaire in Ridge field is by far the most friendly place we have ever experienced. Chris and Kristyn have a passion for dance and people that create an amazing environment for everyone of all skill levels.

So if you are looking for a place to dance or to learn to dance, I would highly recommend this dance studio to you. I promise you that you won’t regret it.

My wife and I love Ridgefield Fred Astaire! We started a couple years ago with a groupon (a great way to meet the instructors and learn a couple dances), and never stopped. It became our date night once a week -- a low tech getaway in this day and age, and unexpectedly rewarding. Better than a movie and dinner on so many levels: you think, you re-connect, and you laugh. The owners and instructors are super friendly, low pressure, and genuinely interested in matching the type of instruction to your interests. For single dancers, there are group classes and its easy to find a partner to practice with. In my case, it was the last thing I thought I would be doing, and now its one of the first things I look forward to every week. Give it a try!

High Recommended!! My boyfriend and I are having a few lessons for an event. We have enjoyed the experience of learning Tango, Waltz and a few moves to help us on the dance floor. Great room to learn and lovely staff.
