  A beautiful place to walk, there are not many people and that for me is relaxing. The houses are beautiful and the wind is very cool in August.

  The fort is really fun to explore! I went at noon on a Saturday and there was almost no one there. The rocky shores nearby are also nice to beachcomb at low tide— found some blue and aqua seaglass!

  We usually trek to Brooklyn Bridge Park or LIC on days when it's warm enough to want to be near the water but not in the water. This is a great alternative with beautiful views, history and plenty of space. There isn't much shade but there was a nice breeze along the water. Huge parking lot but it fills up fast so get there early or be prepared to wait and jockey for a spot on weekends.

  Fort Totten is rich with History. You can see it in the architecture if you choose to explore this park. After a 4 mile run I took the opportunity to visit the site and enjoyed every step of the way. The grounds were well manicured and the Spring tulips and other flowers were in perfect bloom.
  I had a Fantastic visit and plan to return with my family.

  Beautiful park with amazing views! Has a nice walkable path to get your steps in.
