The n wing has good food but limited options. Who I do love is Chong. She is a great person and so sweet always greeting us with a smile! The ice cream and desert bar are great.
UPDATE:
wow, n wing is completely different from when i reviewed it poorly 2 years ago. they completely renovated the place to look more modern and got entirely new staff (which are incredibly nice and actually know how to cook). food is 10 times tastier and better and I dont leave feeling like im gonna barf. awesome selection of appetizers, main courses, desserts, and drinks. great to be able to choose your own music as well!
CONS:
- Food is extremely, extremely greasy. I would have a better chance of catching a greased up pig than this food if it decided to run away.
- Weird food that is just a bunch of random things put together and has a label slapped on it (I am not talking about multicultural food, but food that just seems like a bunch of leftovers)
- Undercooked/overcooked food
- Found hair in food a couple times
- Very little variety
- Friend has gotten food poisoning multiple times
- Desserts are bad
- Meat is dry or slimy
- Very little choices for people with dietary restrictions (Vegan, Gluten free, etc.) I also don't know if it's safe for people with food allergies to eat here.
- Floors are sticky sometimes
PROS:
- Staff is very hardworking and kind
- Place is mostly clean
- Good coffee
- Arcade
- Good icecream
- Has soy-milk for people who can't have real milk
Everyone at Stockton feels this way about N-Wing but Chartwells (or whoever is in charge) chooses to ignore the mass amounts of complaints. This is the only place on campus where you can get cooked vegetables and "healthy food". However, the food here is not healthy at all. I always leave with a stomach ache because of how greasy and over seasoned the food is. The school claims to be a supporter of healthy choices but clearly they are not. The only places I can afford to eat are N Wing (unlimited food for a meal swipe), Chik-fil-a, and Primo's (both very unhealthy) because of how expensive everything is and how restrictive our mealplans are. After visiting Rutger's university and experiencing how good their food is (keep in mind they have to feed thousands of people and can still make quality food) I refuse to believe Stockton's food is rated number 10 in the state. 10/10 would not eat here again ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)
I came here during lunch hours. Great food! The cheeseburgers were to die for. The ice cream had a small, but wide variety. Overall, this all you can eat is perfect for any student looking to eat a big meal to last them for a whole day of classes.
Staff is super friendly, pretty decent selection of food. Not sure what the complaints about the food being over seasoned or too salty, everything was adequately seasoned and was pretty similar to stuff I would probably eat at home. I'm guessing they aren't used seasoning in their food? They have freshly baked deserts, ice cream and fresh agua fresca available to drink. They have a Sautee station as well where you can prepare breakfast foods as well as stir fry dishes you can cook yourself. There's also a salad station as well which is competitive to the salads in the student center.
It's buffet style food, and the food selection seems a bit healthier than what's offered in the main cafeteria, if you're used to eating chick filet or pizza everyday then the lack of MSG in the N-wing food court would be difficult to adjust to. I had Italian herb roasted chicken (they used boneless thighs which is the best cut for roasting) spicy sautéed green beans (which weren't very spicy but still well seasoned despite being slightly under cooked) and lemon and butter cous cous. Chicken was tasty, albeit a little dry but that's expected seeing as it has to sit under a heat lamp, cous cous was good too, not mushy like you'd normally get at alot of crappier restaurants in the area.
Calories are counted conveniently for you and they have a vegan and pasta dishes available daily. Cafeteria is spacious, well decorated and usually fairly empty. Place is pretty chill too. Meals are $8.00 for all you can eat with drinks and deserts included.
Had no idea this place existed after 9 months of being there. They really ought to advertise this location more, especially showing off the food. Maybe do free samples and hang signs up in front of the doors.
