  I came to Mike through the recommendation of a good friend who suggested I try acupuncture as a next step for pain relief. Previously, my orthopedic had cleared me of any apparent hip/back/joint issues and ordered PT sessions to help eliminate the pain I was feeling in those areas. Unfortunately, even a couple of months of treatment with an excellent PT could not fully resolve the issue.
  
  Although hip and back pain was the main reason for my visit to Mike, I also shared that I experienced regular migraine headaches, slept poorly, and had swelling and pain in my hands due to carpal tunnel.
  
  After just one acupuncture session, I noticed tremendous relief (from a 7 on a scale of 10 to a 2/3) and now after 3 sessions, I am completely pain free. I also have not experienced a single migraine episode in the 11 days since my first session, am sleeping better, and have noticed a greater sense of calm and well-being than before treatment.
  
  I am not sure I had a strong opinion one way or another about acupuncture before trying it, but I can now say I am a firm believer in the power of the process!
  
  I find Mike to be a competent, caring, and dedicated provider, have already been singing his praises to a number of my other friends, and would not hesitate to recommend him to you as well.

  While traveling through New England my back flared up and I was barely able walk. Mike was able to fit me in for a series of three appointments over the course of a week. I not only left pain free, but also had more energy and according to my travel companions, was in a much better mood.
  I was a bit nervous and skeptical at first as i had never tried acupuncture before. Mike listened carefully to my concerns and did an excellent job of explaining the process of an acupuncture treatment to me. The results speak for themselves, as I feel better then I have for a very long time. I was able to take several long hikes during my trip, something that I have not been able to accomplish over the last few years.
  My only regret is not living in Connecticut where I could see Mike regularly for treatment. Thank you Mike for helping make my journey fun and enjoyable!

  Simply amazing. I have been suffering with a sinus infection for weeks and could not tolerate the pressure any longer. I called Michael and he was able to get me in the next day after I explained the terrible pressure in my eyes, head and ears. This was the very first time I have tried acupuncture and was a little skeptical but desperate after weeks of OTC medicine and a few days of antibiotics were not helping. Michael is compassionate and kind. He asked many questions and really listened. He took the time to explain how acupuncture works and what everything would feel like before he inserted the needles. After suffering from red, swollen, watery eyes and terrible pressure and headaches for weeks, my sinuses drained right there on the table into my throat. I am absolutely amazed! Recommend wholeheartedly without reservation.

  After making the decision to move to CT from NYS back in 2022, one of my concerns was being able to find a good acupuncturist. For the past several years, I had been seeing an acupuncturist in New York who also had experience as an RN. As I also work in the medical field, I had found this added experience very beneficial. Mike was recommended to me by one of my close friends and I couldn’t be more grateful for her recommendation. Since the pandemic, I was struggling with insomnia and anxiety. His knowledge of both Western medicine (he has previously worked as an ER nurse) and Chinese medicine is the perfect combination. He took the time to really understand my medical history and what I was looking to accomplish, while at the same time getting to know me as a person. Mike is able to treat my acute symptoms as well as target any underlying imbalances that are more chronic in nature. He does this while at the same time having an excellent bedside manner. I leave his office feeling relaxed and refreshed, and my sleep has markedly improved. I can’t recommend him enough!

  After a few week hiatus from my weekly appointments with Mike, I was back today and was truly grateful for the treatment. I really missed the treatments and noticed a big difference in my sleep and anxiety without acupuncture. Mike is professional, knowledgeable and has wonderful bedside manner, explaining as much as you’d like to know and always obtaining consent before placing a needle anywhere covered by the gown. He is empathetic and caring and his western medical knowledge combined with his Chinese medicine expertise is the perfect mix! Highly recommend!!
