  What a dream Fernwood was, we stayed in a tent spot with some friends and top to tails the experience was magic. Marion, the owner, welcomed us when we arrived, gave us the lay of the land and even before we go there had made some lovely recommendations on where to go, what to do, and the nuances of our experience there. Having water on site was a game changer.
  
  While the Porto-Poty near the tent sites was not great, it was still cleaned regularly and the bath house / formal rest rooms were well maintained, though a bit dated. Marion also let us know that they typically have better firewood in stock, but had trouble sourcing it so we were left buying some hardwood that was a nightmare to light... but she was upfront about it so all good.
  
  We had a few neighbors who were louder than we'd have preferred, but everyone was having a great time. Only drawbacks was that Plunkett Reservoir has about 40 feet of 'beach' and is a bit of a hike to get to, plus by late afternoon it's completely shaded (we went in early Sept) and there aren't too many trails connected directly to the campground so ya gotta have a car to get around. We went to Ozzie's for breakfast one morning which was delicious and found plenty to do around Lenox / Pittsfield and ALLLL the hiking trails you could want... again, ya just have to drive to get there.
  
  We'll definitely be back and loved the family owned aspects, seems like there is a lot of love here and can't wait to return!

  Nice little camp spots on the smaller size. Some rather close to the road but most all were in partially wooded areas. Quiet! If you're pulling a rig it isn't for the inexperienced backer - no pull thrus. We'd return as we enjoyed our spot.

  GAS RV'S BEWARE. For those unfamiliar with the area and pulling a vehicle, It's located just on the other side of a preeetty steep incline. It took some work getting up it but the other direction from the park is much better, it just has a small dirt road section. It's a beautiful property with huge private sites. This is a place to put your feet up and relax, just keep an eye out for the local bears:) The staff/owners are very welcoming and friendly as well as the seasonal folks. I only wish we could've stayed longer.

  Nice quite campground with private wooded sites and friendly people. Stayed there for a week while visiting my daughter who lives in the area. Owners are nice and sensitive to your needs and inquiries.
  We just stay again at Fernwood Forest over the July 4th week. While we were there our van broke down and we had to have it towed to the closest dealership. I rented a car to get home but couldn't pull my trailer. The owners of Fernwood Forest we so gracious in having our trailer towed off site and stored until our van was fixed and we could get back out to get it. You can’t find a nicer group of people. We will continue to stay at this campground several times each year. Thank you.

  We stayed here for 5 nights while my husband was taking a course nearby. We stayed in the onsite camper rental with our toddlers. It was such a nice quiet campground, the owners were wonderful, the camper was perfect, and everything was so well cared for. My kids loved the playground and rec hall. The main campground bathrooms were extremely clean. The rental camper was so convenient for us as we traveled 13 hours from home with really young kids. I was so grateful to find a place we could roam around during the day while my husband had the vehicle. Also the laundry facilities worked great and was a lifesaver for us. Beautiful place!
