  The Farmingdale United Methodist Church is the real deal!
  Did you ever feel that there has to be more to life then this? Well I did.
  Let me introduce myself. My name is Kim and my life changed on Sunday November 20, 2017. As a child I went to church but never had the connection. I knew about God but didn't know Him. I went because I was told to go. I don't know how this happened but I became an adult over night. I was married and had two beautiful children. My children were baptized and as they grew I signed them up and they attended a few Sunday bible school classes. But still I had no connection or relationship with the church. My mom was active in her church and from time to time would say "Kimmy you really need to go to church." Unfortunately my marriage ended and now my life was not what I expected it would be. Working to pay the bills I found myself just going through the motions. Now more then ever I had no desire or the time to go to church. Sunday was my only day to rest. I am going to give you the short version but if you come to the F.U.M.C and want to hear my testimony come find me I will be there. So on November 20, 2017. I woke up and I heard the words loud and clear "Kimmy you really need to go to church!" I said to myself I am going to church today. But what church? I was a member of the Ronkonkoma United Methodist Church growing up but was living in Melville now and knew it was a bit of a drive and I wouldn't make the 9:30am service. So I googled United Methodist Churches in the area and Farmingdale U.M.C. popped up and was only a 10 minute car ride. So I decided on going there. I walked into the church sanctuary and I was immediately greeted and welcomed by church members. During service the Pastor also welcomed me. I had a feeling of peace and knew that this is where I needed to be. During service I felt a connection and the message, the sermon was communicated in a way that I understood it. I wanted to hear more. I continued to attend the Farmingdale United Methodist Church. Over time I also transferred my membership from Ronkonkoma to Farmingdale. Yes! I wanted to strengthen my relationship with God but little did I know something else was happening. I was being transformed and I could see it and feel it in myself. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” I have grown in so many ways and I just want to pass it on! You never stop growing. God is working in us! And we are all created for a unique purpose. God has invited us into a relationship with Him. The most important thing for us to know is that God loves us! I don't just know about God now. I know Him! God is Love! Do you want to see love in action? I invite you! The Farmingdale United Methodist Church invites you and welcomes you with open arms! Come and experience God's love. "GOD IS GREAT!"

  Beautiful church very old also offers program s to community there also daycare located in the building, always a lot of activity going on at this location,a landmark to our community.
